Penny Lane Organics Lip Balm Making Kit

This Penny Lane Lip Balm Making Kit contains everything you need to make your first lip balm:

• 500g of our rich and luxurious Lip Balm Base
• Handy lip balm filing tray
• 50 lip balm containers (with carabiner)
• 1 bottle of Lemon essential oil

Instructions:

1. Transfer the lip balm base into a heat-proof container and melt it in a microwave on low temperature setting - make sure you don't overheat it!
2. Insert the lip balm tubes into the filling tray from the bottom (the flat side of the tray) and then flip it over
3. Once the base is completely melted add 10 to 15 drops of essential oil, or leave it unflavoured.
4. Stir well and pour the liquid slowly over the tray
5. Let it sit until it cools and lip balms become solid
6. Detach the lip balms from the tray and put the cap on them
7. Scrape the top of the tray to remove any leftover lip balm before putting it into the dishwasher, or wash it using soap and hot water
8. Store remaining lip balm base in the fridge and use within a year.  

Lip balm base contains:

• Coconut oil (Cicis Nucifera)
• Castor Seed oil (Ricinus communis)
• Cocoa (Theobroma Cacao) Butter
• Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)
• Almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) Oil
• Beeswax (Cera Alba)
• Calendula (Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract) Oil
• Vitamin E (Tocopherol) derived from NON-GMO Soy Bean oil

Warning:

• To prevent serious burns exercise caution when melting or handling the hot lip balm base.
• Do not add more than 5% of essentail oils, fragrance oils or flavour oils. Exceeding this amount may destabilize bonds between the ingredients, causing the lip balm base to lose some of its smooth feel and it may create a burning sensation when used on the lips.

In regards to this kit 5% would be 2.5 g or 50 drops per 500 g lip balm base.
