Bald spots, patchy
Bald spots, patchy
I bought this and had to shave all of my hair off. On different size combs it left me with almost down to the skin bald patches. Even on the higher settings it left bald patches. On the higher settings, if you slightly change the angle it will leave a bald patch. At the end of the day it looked like a blindfolded baby cut my hair and I had to completely shave it down which I'm not used too and with the cold weather It has been very unconfortable. Sure I could have used a toque but if I preferred a toque over styling my hair I wouldn't have bought this

very disappointed
Hi Philips team,
Sept.02/2017. Today, I just tried to cut my son's longer hair and suddenly ran into an unexpected road block because of the DESIGN of the adjustable comb of the HC3410. The hair was prevented from getting to the cutting blade even though the setting was at it's maximum height. I was forced to use my older model rechargeable QC5130 which has an adjustable comb that had no problem whatsoever allowing the hair to get to the cutting blade. Please note that we purchased the Philips family hair clipper HC3410 because my older model is on its last legs. I am very disappointed in this product and will return it at once.

This came at the
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This came at the perfect time as my husband was due for a cut. He used this instead of his usual wired trimmer. Overall he thought it was not bad for a wireless trimmer. The only complaint he had was that the blade caught on one of the first two cuts because of the amount of hair he was trying to cut through. It caught even on the Turbo mode. Otherwise, the cut was great. It offered a cleaner cut than what he was used to and also found cleaning it up to be a breeze because he could just rinse it. Definitely will continue to use it as it offers flexibility and ease of cleaning

This Clipper is excellent
What I like about Philips clipper is their Oil Free operation and the self sharpening blades. This makes them low maintenance while keeping their excellent operation. The 7000 is great for cutting hair, even the thickest hair thanks to its turbo mode.

It is good to OK, not the best
I have been using Philips hair clippers for the last 15 years. Went through about 5 in all these years and remarkably they all had the same issue, that was the plastic spindle component ( which I think takes the most wear and tear). Luckily, Philips always honors their warranty and 3 of the 5 clippers were replaced. I threw out the other 2 worn out clippers. I would say use with care and do not expose to water. Do not also attempt to clean the internals of the clipper even if hair is stuck as this might damage the spindle.

Great except for one serious problem
This product is otherwise excellent, except the length-adjustment wheel is located right where you are supposed to grip the product (on both the front and back). It will keep moving while you cut!
The product could either have the back covered by the body since there is really no need to have two areas to move the wheel, or you could have an actual positive lock to prevent movement while cutting.

Sleek design
I liked the sleek design of the product. Battery life was great. The blades were excellent. However, the issue I had was that, after awhile (1-2 yrs use) I had problems with putting back the base of the blade after cleaning it. I had a hard time snapping back the base of the blade, as it won't snap-in properly.

I am very impressed
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am very impressed with the quality of this product and super thankful for the opportunity to try it out thanks to the voxbox campaign. I generally go for a haircut every 7ish weeks and this product has eliminated that! I had no experience with cutting hair and neither did my partner. She was hesitant at first but this product is incredibly easy to use and super intuitive. The adjustable guards make the whole process very simple. The bag that’s included helps keep everything together nicely. I’ll consistently be using this product every couple of weeks to maintain my hair and it will save a ton of money down the line. The only negative feedback is the quality of the scissors in the kit but they aren’t the focus of the product.
