Good Unit
Not a bad tool. I have used a plug in trimmer for 18+ years and wanted to un-tether myself from the wall and shave over the tub (easier clean up!). Main thing to accept is that battery powered trimmers will be weaker than 120V trimmers. That said, this did cut through my beard and stubble really well and did not bog down at all. And I really like the fine adjustment feature so you can dial in the precise length of beard/goatee you are looking for. I am impressed that it is waterproof and therefore MUCH easier to clean. I am however, unsure this could be used while charging. The last thing I want to have happen is that I needthe shaver but must wait for it to recharge.

Battery Issues
Like most. Battery died and there's nothing I can do.
During an online chat with Support, I was told I could ship my shaver to Brooklyn for repairs.
I live in Toronto.
In other words, there's nothing that can be done.
Buy a new one I guess? Fat chance.
It'll be the last Philips product I purchase.

Works great,but
Loved this unit from day one. It works extremely well. But, after having this a couple of years, the attachments are extremely loose fitting. Im on my second set of attachments, and they are loose once again. I dont get it. They dont last very long. Other than that this thing works really good.

So far so good
I've only used it 3 times so far, but so far the trimming (of beard) is going well....product seems to go well. The downside - charging. There is no indicator (e.g., LED) on the device, so there is no way of knowing when it is fully charged - so you just sort of plug it in for some period of time....there is no battery indicator either. So there is no way of knowing how long it should be plugged in for a charge and when it will need its next charge. In this day and age, that is a pretty standard feature...

Worked well until battery died
The rechargeable battery died and it just stopped working. Until then it did a very good job. Had it for less than a year. It would have been better to buy a cheaper one and pay for batteries.

PRODUCT DID NOT WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!!
Bought the trimmer, plugged it in, did not work at all. Went over the PICTURE instructions that were not very helpful. The package was undamaged so QC failed. This was my first Philips purchase with a very disappointing outcome. I would not recommend this product.

Cheap razor head
At first I really liked the trimmer, after a while the head and body of the trimmer where they attach will loosen and vibrate apart and the noise is super loud and you have to press your fingers down on the top of the trimmer to quiet them down.

Cannot hold a charge
The plastic attachments feel cheap, but it holds up. The issue is that the battery can't hold a charge - I have to use it plugged in and even then 'Turbo' mode can kill it if it hasn't been charging for some time. Disappointing
