Reliability of Philips Nosetrimmer series 3000
It's probably not fair to say as I only used it once, Why only once you ask. Well I bought it, used it the same day. Then as most people I didn't use it for 3 weeks or so. When I did feel I could use a little trim I pulled it out of my shaving drawer opened the little bag pulled it out, turned it on and nothing, & I mean nothing, no noise no vibration nothing Nada, zilch tried another battery same result. Checked I was twisting to the proper symbol. and still nothing.
So That's my experience with it so far.
Performance: is 3 stars because when it did work it worked as advertised
Ease of use: it's not all that complicated to use (when it works)
Design: it's a decent design, I mean it stayed in my hand etc but it needed several passes to tidy up the area. I'm not sure if that is a design thing or not.

Disappointing
I bought it mainly for my nose and it isn't giving me satisfaction. I've been using for more than 10 years a cheap no-name model with a round tip which I paid 2 bucks and it cuts those deep nose hair perfectly, that is not the case with this Philips Nosetrimmer. I could have returned it within 45 days but I kept it just because I discovered trimming my brows was a marvelous thing.
I wish I knew there was another model, the Philips NT3000, which has a round tip accessory.
I have other Philips products that work superbly, but not this one!

Did not remove ANY hair and broke-down virtually out of the box (I think the drive shaft which connects to the shaving head). I have thrown it away and will avoid all Phillips products in future.

Overall good
Nice design, comfortable to hold. Seems solid. To remove the nose hairs, no pulling whatsoever but to remove as much hair as possible, you must insert the tip very deep in the nose and press firmly. As for the eyebrow trimming attachments, I tried the "shortest" attachment but it does not remove much eyebrow hair at all. Overall satisfied.

Stopped Working
I owned this product for about 4 months when reached the point that I could no longer use it. After that time, the battery died (or so I thought) so I replaced the battery and the device would not turn on. It’s not an expensive device but it’s certainly not something I would deem “disposable”.

Had it for 4 months then stopped working one day. Wasn't the battery. The teeth were just stuck because I wasn't rinsing it out with water after use. Learned from FAQ to Soak head in soap and warm water then rinse it out and it will be good as new. I love the design.

Bought jan. 2018, now Jan. 2020
purchased in 2018, looked up manual today (02/2020) to perform eyebrow trim, and proper cleaning. My unit still working, replaced OEM battery once. has worked as expected. Would recommend.

Doesn't work
When the blade is installed it doesn't work even with a new battery.
When I take the blade off the stem vibrates normally.
