It’s the replacement for my RQ 1250
It does the job but the guidance for pressure and motion doesn’t work for me. I’m thinking it is for users new to rotary electric shaving to avoid irritating there skin.. can get a good shave in two minutes using the pressure and motion I’ve always used.

Not a close shave
This shaver doesn't give you a close shave on one stroke. In fact you have so go over the same spot several times (4 to 5) to give it a half ways decent shave. Also, it is impossible to shave close to you nose or ear. I would not recommend this product

Great shaver, could be perfect with a few changes
The shaver performs just as advertised and does give the closest shaves. I would however like to see the edges of the shaving heads more rounded as they do cut your face under pressure, especially around the rounded area of your face.

new shaver feels different on my skin
I have owned a 5000 series and a 7000 series shaver in the past. I decided to try this unit when I felt it was time to look for a new shaver.
I am still adapting to the feel of this unit.
The shaver definitely gives a close shave and any patches that are not smoothly shaved are cleaned up with an additional pass over the areas.
I find that the shave heads want to "grab" my skin at certain places during the shave. This appears to be at the edges of the 3 shave heads. The previous units I have owned had a rounded head and never caused this type of grabbing.

The razor heads are. Meant for someone with a large face. In the event you have a small face you cannot shave in circles as suggested. I can only shave up and down.

Shaves great but the trimmer leaves a lot to desire. I have to use the trimmer on my old Phillips to shave my upper lip (under my nose).

Decent Shaver
Purchased this shaver since blades for my older Phillips were discontinued as has been the case with Phillips on all my previous Phillips shavers. Shaver was on sale and the price was right. I was able to order the adapter from Phillips so I can charge the shaver from a regular plug. I find the gap between the heads sometimes catch on my chin. I am pleased with the closeness of the shave that this shaver delivers. The cleaning station is easy to use. I hope Phillips doesn’t discontinue the cleaning solution like they did to the previous version.

I have only buy philips electric razors. But this new I nine thousand is amazing.. i also like the cleaning bath that comes with it. My old razor used to get such a nasty smell to it.After my facial, oils be on it and I'd take me forever to clean it. But after each use, I clean out the hair and then place it on top of the cleaner. This makes my razor fresh and clean every time I love that. I get a nice clean shave every time. It also as wifi to connect to my phone to keep track of it. One of the nicest razors, i've owned so far.

Reliable
Product works well, but it’s delicately built, definitely not something you’d want to slip out of your hand.
I switched over from a Braun 9000 series and what a difference in the quality of the shave with Philips. Wish I’d never brought the Braun.

Definitely Next Stage Shaving Experience !!
Give it a few weeks to get it used to your facial hair texture, once it does, what a smooth shave !! đ
Also takes a few practices on how to maneuver the 3 shaving heads, once you have your angles figured out, works like a dream !! đ
Love the app technology and the details within the app.
Love the LED color on how much pressure to use.
Love the self cleaning, works well.
The LED screen on the shaver is ideal.
One of the best shavers I've used. !!

Good Razor
The Razor and Cleaning System are very good, however the new upgraded software for the smartphone is terrible. The old software was great so why change something that worked just fine? I'm getting close to the stage where I'll just use the razor and cleaning system without the software.

Very friendly Product!
i think it is perfect product and its main advantage is that you can wash all without worry unlike my previous old Philips which i had! This is very important since in the old one ,always hair remained inside and it was hard to clean.The disadvantage is this fact that its price and its maintenance is costy! Imagine i have to buy liquid for that regularly but over all,it is very best and perfect and sharp product!

Glad to reconnect with Philips
When my 15 year old Philips shaver was not as good as it had been, I decided to try another brand with the hope of finding a good or even better replacement. Got a highly rated brand/model and realized after a few days of using it was not even close to my old Philips in terms of cleanliness, comfort and battery life. Swiftly switched back to Philips with a 9000 model and am very happy with it ever since!

Good product. Not for sensitive skin.
Good quality shaver. Charges quick and holds a charge for a long time. Cleaning dock works well too. The reason for the 3 stars is due to looking into this razor for sensitive skin and it still produces quite a bit of irritation regardless of how I use the razor. (Wet or dry). I have in the last couple of days gone back to a safety razor, a double sided razor for anyone who doesn’t know what they are.

I've been using a hand shaver for over 30 years and finally decided to try an electric shaver. After doing some research, I decided to try the Philips 9000 series. I love the way the shaving heads adapts to the contour of my face, leaving me with a close and smooth shave. Easy to clean and the pod is also very helpful in the cleaning process. I highly recommend this brand and series

If you like to shave, this product is for your.
3 years of regular use, and the battery is starting to show its age. Best Philips shaver I've had to date, with a very close shave achieved in the recommended 3 minutes. Once I partitioned my face into six partitions, 30 seconds per section is more than enough to properly shave my face. The companion app is helpful, but changes to phone & app updates made a seamless transition difficult. For the first 2 years I used it primary as a wet shaver, and it did not like to be immersed in water (unintentionally or not). For the last few months I have tried the dry shave, and it definitely cuts down on the nicks to my dark skin. The 3 heads do a pretty good job of keeping a long preferred sideburns look under control, without need of the pop-out trimmer. The cleanup unit does a very good job of prepping the shaver for its next shave, and does not take up too much space in the bathroom. Overall, a good product.

Enjoying my 9000 shaver so far
For the first time ever with a Phillips wet and dry shaver I am using it wet. I must say that it is a rather pleasant (if somewhat messy) experience! I wish I had tried this years ago! The accompanying App is somewhat helpful but I’m finding difficult to improve my scores despite taking time to change and alter my technique. Not really sure what I’m doing poorly?

This shaver shaves my head as well.
For years I have used a blade to shave. My friend bought one and said it was amazingly close shave. So I bought one. I was pleasantly surprised how close the shave is. Not only do I shave my face but my head as well and does a great job. I took it with me on a cruise and was away for 3weeks and did not have to charge it once.

QUALITY MATCHES THE ADVERTISED PROMISE
I have been using the 3000 series razors for years and decided to make a big leap up in price and see if the S9000 was as good as many reviews indicated. The difference is amazing. The 9000 gives me a much closer shave in less time and absolutely no irritation. I'm glad I made the change. You will be too.

Overall a winning razor, with 2 key deficiencies
I have been a user of Braun razors for decades, and although I tried a Philips once 20 years ago, I had quickly returned it as not meeting my needs. As my most recent Braun was no longer shaving my neck area, and was struggling with 3+ days of of growth, I re-evaluated my options and chose this Philips. So far, it generally meets my expectations and requirements except for 2 areas noted below. This razor does a far superior shave of coarse neck hair than my Brain ever did - period. It also does a very good job and multiple days of growth...it may take a couple of passes for perfection, it does it very well. My 2 issues are this: 1) the trimmer blade may be the weakest thing I have ever seen on planet Earth. Almost useless. Feels like cheap material when you pop it out, and functions poorly. 2) this razor seems to have trouble shaving anything right below the nose, no matter how hard I try. I hate to say it, but I am forced to keep my Braun fully-charged in order to overcome these 2 deficiencies.

Best Shaver Yet!
I have been a loyal Philips customer for decades and by far this is the best shaver I have ever used. The cut is so close and after a shave there is absolutely no stubble remaining at all. It keeps my skin nice and soft without having to use any lotions. Two thumbs up Philips.

Used Philips shavers for ever, just replaced an architect withe the 9000 .
Architect is still working, but can’t purchase Philips built heads any longer. I was disappointed, until I shaved with the new Philips 9000, wet dry skin IQ. Best shave I’ve ever had, and quick

Better than expected!
My previous Philips RQ1250 razor had over a decade of service and is still going strong (I use it to shave my head), but I decided it was time to try the new tech. I thought this one would be too gimmicky for me but I am actually am impressed with its features.

Great Shaver, Mediocre App
I really like the electric shaver, I use it both on my face and my head. I do not like the Phillips app very much, it's lost all it's settings a couple times and is supposed to track when to replace the cleaning pod but reset the counter.

Very Luxurious!
I was sporting some facial hair, with the help of a Philips OneBlade Pro, but after several years of that I decided it was time to change up my look. I went for this model for the AI, pressure feedback, self cleaning and extra blades in the shave heads. My face is difficult to shave so keeping within the three minute goal isn't really realistic, so that feedback tends to get ignored, but the other feedback for pressure and movement is useful for me. Having disappointing experiences with previous self cleaning systems I was skeptical, but this design is actually quite good! It does a great job of cleaning and maintaining the shave heads, and the the fact that it doesn't require a power source allows me to keep it in the bathroom with my Sonicare products even though there isn't a plug available. I liked the shave heads on this model with the slots and holes to capture more, longer hair since I didn't expect to shave every day, but this shaver makes the task so quick and easy I actually do shave every day! If you like tech and gadgets like I do, this is definitely the shaver for you!

This is my third shaving machine from philips and the best ever. Easly cutting my beard even 3 days after and also cutting my hair with it. So smooth skin after shave and no rushes after. Just perfect.

Not as close as a razor. But quite good. No pinching. Can get into close spaces easily. Simple to operate and clean. Lots of shaves on one charge. Comfortable in hand when using. Happy with product.
