The best substitute for regular or brown sugar! Some coconut sugar you buy in the stores is old, stale, and crispy. Not this stuff! Fresh as can be. Love it.

We are huge fans of coconut sugar in our house hold, and it is our main sweetener for baking. That being said, this one is not our absolute favourite. It has a very dark flavour. The flavour is nice, but more obvious in baking. It doesn't blend, flavour wise, quite as well as some of the other coconut sugars we've used. Still, an excellent product, well tolerated by almost everybody.

I can't say enough good things about coconut palm sugar. It's low glycemic, works great in baking or in hot drinks. One important thing to note about baking with this is that it should be dissolved in warm water, butter or coconut oil and then added to the rest of the mixture for brownies, cakes and muffins, etc,. I was told this by the owner of a local baking company and it's true. The exception is, of course, fruit crisps where this sugar is simply mixed with ingredients.
