The reason I use this product is because I unfortunately and a pain patient, and one of the uncomfortable side effects of pain medication is constipation, I mix about a tablespoon morning and night into yogurt or smoothies. For myself this clay allows me to have more frequent bowel movements and I am of the understanding that it also de-toxes along with the elimination. It's not as hard to consume than it may seem, in yogurt and smoothies is how I prefer to take it.
I also mix it with a red clay and honey for a mask which works well too.
