Nice Scent!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Normally I use gel deodorants, but this one I liked as well, even though it was a little rough applying it. I held it on my armpit for a few seconds to soften it a bit, and that seemed to help go on a little smoother. I love the scent! It's really fresh and does smell like dewy grass. I noticed when I started getting hot and sweating a bit that the scent was more noticeable, so it does work for odor but not wetness, which doesn't bother me. It does leave a bit of white when you're wearing dark colored clothing though. Overall, it worked well for me and I like that it's a natural deodorant. I would definitely buy this brand, and scent again!

I absolutely love Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium natural deodorant. I used clinical strength antiperspirant for years and then switched to natural deodorants because I wanted to go healthier and I could not find anything that worked but then I came across this gem and wow! It's natural and controls odour and wetness very well and I only need to apply it once a day. It smells nice and washes off easily. It does have a grainy/sandy texture which some might find unacceptable but the results make it worth it and I find if you heat it up with your breath before applying it, it goes on more smoothly. I have bought it and used it multiple times now and plan to try out some of the other scents.

Game Changer
I've had a hard time with finding a natural deodorant for a long time. I have a severe allergic reaction to every other deodorants. I had developed such a bad infection from the last deodorant I used that for a year my Dermatologist told me nothing but cleaning with water and applying a prescribed lotion. Well the first time I finally was able to use a deodorant, my infection happened all over again. So with two weeks to let it heal, as I caught it sooner. This is the first deodorant since trying that works! And I have had no irritation or occurrence of my infection. This is the only natural deodorant I've tried that actually works that I can pick up at the store. I have now switched to SCHMIDTS!

Obsessed
I was extremely excited to receive this deodorant sample in the mail from Chickadvisor! I immediately showered just so I could test it out. I love that their products are formulated with natural ingredients and essential oils and are aluminum free. This particular one has charcoal in it and so far, I am absolutely obsessed with it. It smells amazing and lasts all day long, no need for (me) to reapply. It doesn’t leave any yellow armpit stains on my white shirts, which is a huge bonus. Will definitely be trying out ALL of the other scents they offer! Highly recommend these products.

Nicer then I expected
I was unsure how I would like this product. It seemed like more of a masculine product. The product is a bit difficult to apply. It is a bit rough to apply and I could see this being a problem for someone with sensitive skin. The product does have a very faint, light fragrance which I enjoyed and would be good if you work in a scent free environment. The product left me feeling fresh all day but I also used it when the temperature was fair, not overly hot out. I also wasn't doing anything too physical during the day so I wasn't really able to put it to a true test of durability.

Looking forward to trying...
I just received my product for review today. I haven’t been able to try it yet, but my deadline to review it is today. I can’t speak to the effectiveness of the product yet, since I just received it, but I’m very pleased with the ingredients being all recognizable and the list of ingredients is rather short compared to most other deodorants (something I look for in natural products). It also smells really pleasant and clean...it’s easily a scent that both men or women could wear which I like! I’m looking forward to trying this and some of the other Schmidt’s deodorant scents!

Not for me
I was excited to try Schmidt’s Natural deodorant for free thanks to Chick advisor and #trySchmidtsNatural, as it’s the first hemp seed oil natural deodorant I’ve seen. Unfortunately, after trying to the Charcoal + Magnesium scent for a few days, I would have to say this isn’t the deodorant for me. I found this scent more masculine than feminine and fragrance was very strong. As well, I found that the texture was sticky, gritty and felt like sandpaper when applying. It did also leave residue on my clothes.

An effective deodorant for anyone!
The Charcoal + Magnesium deodorant is a great for anyone, especially if you're looking for something not heavily fragranced. At first I was nervous to use this as I thought the greyish colour would be noticeable on my underarms, but there was no noticeable colour when I applied it. Although the fragrance didn’t last long on my body, the deodorant was still effective as I didn’t not experience anything unpleasant and I felt that my underarms were fresh. This formula had a chalkier texture and was slightly harder to apply, but that was easily fixed by allowing it more time to warm up in my underarms. As someone that has tried other natural deodorants, I like that my body didn’t have to go through a detox period with this!

Nice Scent but not long lasting
I’ve tried other scents and formulas of this deodorant and this scent is not my favourite. The slight grey colour of the product was also slightly concerning but it was not actually an issue. My only problem I have is that I have to apply this deodorant multiple times per day and with the baking soda in the formula being mildly abrasive it starts to irritate my skin by the end of the day. I’ve used the sensitive formula and prefer that one but I do love this brand either way! If your skin isn’t that sensitive then this should be a great option.

High expectations with very little result
I had high hopes for this product, but after using it for a few weeks, I found that it didn't really work. The Deodorant did nothing to keep me from smelling and the product it self smells terrible. Also it stained the pits of my clothes and I have had no luck getting the stains out. I would steer clear of this version of deodorant. I can't speak for the other Deodorants, but stay away!

Excellent natural deodorant alternative
I have not had much luck in the past with more natural deodorants. They tended to leave me feeling sweatier than I was before and didnt do much to neutralize smells. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try this stuff though, as it really works! While it's not an anti-perspirant, so it won't stop sweating, it does a wonderful job at keeping odours at bay without an overpowering scent. I also didn't start sweating more heavily with this like I have with past products and I love that it is vegan and cruelty free. I will definitely repurchase!

Works, but stains clothes
I was always a heavy sweater, so I knew I needed something when I transitioned to natural deodorant. This brand has been the best so far. I find I have to reapply in the afternoons but I think that's based on a lot of variables. As well, I'm slightly disappointed at how much this deo has ruined my clothes by staining the pits, what looks like oil stains. Don't use with silky/dressy tops, unless you want to be forced to wearing cardigans to cover the stains. Overall I like how this works, but sucks that it's ruining my clothes....

Great scent and effective natural deodorant
I really like this deodorant. It is effective for keeping me smelling good and I like that it uses charcoal and magnesium. I’ve read about the benefits of topical magnesium, so it’s great to have that benefit.
The scent is really nice..I can’t put my finger on what it is...smells natural and fresh. It could totally be a unisex scent, I don’t find it specifically masculine or feminine.
This deodorant does keep me a little drier too, but of course, it’s not an anti-perspiration so it’s only moderately effective at that.

Dark stain on underarms
I bought this deodorant because I'm always looking for an aluminum-free product to use, and then the benefit of charcoal and magnesium made it even more appealing. It works great and has a nice scent, but like many others here it stains the clothes, and on top of that it stains my underarms! I end up having to stop using it for a few days until the stain goes away, and have done this several times, but unfortunately will have to stop using for this reason as well as the staining of my undergarments and tops.

This smells so good!
I wasn't expecting much from a charcoal magnesium deodorant to be honest but this smelled so good! I got a lemony smell from it. At times I thought I was wearing my essential oils but then realized I was smelling the deodorant. I absolutely love it and my skin is very sensitive too and I had zero issues with redness or itching which is really strange for me because there are only a handful of deodorants I can use without having a reaction. I promise it you buy this you won't be disappointed, it's amazing!

We love this deodorant!!
If you are looking for a fresh but subtle scent, this is the deodorant for you! We received this as a free sample from Schmidt's. My husband tried it and reported that the scent lasted all day and that it wasn't too overwhelming. I actually liked it so much when the samples came that I purchased one to try myself. This is my favourite Schmidt's deodorant and I will absolutely be buying it again. I love that it has a more subtle, fresh scent and that the deodorant is natural, without harmful ingredients!

Irritates
I get a rash in my underarms when I use this product, I am super sad about this because I love the smell and the feel and how well it works but after about a week of daily use I start to get red itchy marks and then really bad dry skin. I have bought 2 other bars of this hoping it may have just been a bad batch but it keeps happening... Its only with this exact product I have used the Lime and the Rose one and they have been great. however this one works the best and smells the best so its a bummer.

Great Naturally Deodorant
This natural deodorant worked better than expected. The Charcoal and Magnesium version has a very light scent that’s not too strong. I definitely noticed a difference from using this versus not using any deodorant. This scent would work well for both men and women. It’s a little differently from traditional deodorant because you have to warm it up a little against your skin before applying but it was still easy enough to use. It works! But feels a bit off...
My initial thought was 'what on earth is this going to smell like'. And I was plesently surprised. The scent was light and a honestly not very detectable unless you stuck your nose right up to it. Which I loved. However when applying the deodorant I found this one to be almost...gritty? A bit like wet sand. And that feeling was not comfortable wearing, as it stayed noticeable for me for a few hours. It did keep me from smelling terrible all day. But I just couldn't get over the feeling.

Smells great and works almost great
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased the charcoal version of this natural deodorant. The smell was great - nice and light and not fruity or flowery which I appreciated. I was concerned about irritation like I saw in other reviews, but this wasnt an issue for me at all. Overall the product worked fairly well, although I found after a full day of wear I had to reapply early evening to keep the smell at bay. Overall I was pleased and will likely purchase again.

On the fence.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This product seems like a great idea, and it is, however, the product is hard to put on, I found it difficult even after letting it sit under my underarm for 30 seconds, best time to apply was after the shower.
Cant say I experienced a rash like a lot of people or had stains, I havent used the whole tube though. Smells okay, and lasts throughout the day, even in the heat but Im still unsure about future purchase of this product

Works amazing
I got this product free to try and review. I was hesitant when I got it as a lot of other natural deodorants I’ve tried haven’t worked. However this deodorant is absolutely on point!!! It melts into the skin and offers great odour and wetness protection. I am on the fence about the smell as initially I find it a little strong smelling and chemical smell almost ? Maybe it’s the charcoal. But as it melts into the skin it smells good. I use this in the morning and it lasts all day.

Surprisingly effective

I didn't have high hopes for this deodorant as I have not had luck with other natural aluminum free deodorants but I must admit it is the best one I've tried so far. It did leave a bit of a chalky residue but other than that it has been very effective over the last week that I have been using it. There has been no odour after using it, but a little bit more sweating than I experience using an antiperspirant, which is expected.

Great natural deodorant that works!
I received a free Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium Natural Deodorant through the Click Advisor Review Club campaign. I really liked this deodorant, it has an earthy smell, not overwhelming. The texture is similar to a cream, it is not hard solid, so you have to be careful applying it. The deodorant leaves a grey cast which does not stain my clothes and goes away in 30 minutes. The deodorant gives good protection for the whole day. Plus it is natural which is a big plus for me!

My Bf Loves the smell
Charcoal + Magnesium pit stick smells 1000% amazing!! & it glides on very easily, so you don’t need too much! It does not irritate your armpits after you first apply it. Since you do not need to cake it, it lasts you a very long time & that to me is a great benefit so you don’t have to buy this pit stick so often!
I recommend this if you are into trying new unique arm pit products!! This changed my arm pit game, leaving my arm pits smelling nice and feeling soft! Love it!

Improved texture, unisex scent
I have tried and reviewed Schmidt's deodorants in the past, criticizing the gritty texture and how long it takes the dry; I am delighted to say that neither of these were issues in this new formula! So here is my reviews, with no cons, only the following pros:
- Vegan and cruelty-free
- Free from harmful ingredients such as parabens
- Effective in terms of minimizing body odor
- Dries quickly
- Smooth texture
- Nice unisex scent; can be used by either men or women

Do not use on sensitive skin!
I switched over to this from antiperspirants and while it does deodorizer the smell of sweat I have to stop using it. It’s stained my clothes and caused my under arms to darken. I’m not sure if I’m having a type of allergic reaction to this product but my arm pits have gotten really itchy and they started to peel as well. The formula is a bit rough when putting it on even if you warm it up a bit as recommended and has caused my under arms to become red and irritated. In conclusion, this product does do as it advertises however it is not for me, I’ve seen some other people experience the same issue as me so maybe it’s just not suited for more sensitive skin. I like the idea of it being aluminum free, however, I wouldn’t recommend this product if your under arms are sensitive and you don’t want to stain your clothes.

Sooo amazing
I got a chance to try the new Schmidt’s deodorant in the charcoal and magnesium scent. It was amazing! Sometimes I’m weary of natural ones but this lasted all day and the magnesium and charcoal really prevented white spots, I felt like the odor was a lot more neutralized with charcoal being in them. I hang charcoal in pouches in my closets to air them out and this felt like a similar end goal. Super happy that it lasted all day through working and a sweaty gym workout.

It really works!
I had the opportunity to try Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium Natural Deodorant as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The deodorant is light grey in colour, and has a fresh scent to it - similar to the smell after it rains. I found it glides on easily, doesn't leave any residue, and left my underarms moisturized.
The best part? One application in the morning (just two swipes!), left me odour free through an entire workday, plus an after dinner walk.
