Just wanted to update my review and balance out my initial 3 star review with this 5 star.
The smell did dissipate substantially within a week (yay!). The painted face rubbed off within a couple days, but is a non-issue in my opinion because there is a molded face underneath. I purchased another, which is yellow, and the smell is still overwhelming and horrible right out of the box--so take note for scent-sensitive individuals. The squish is really fantastic though, if you want something similar to the nice cube(or dream drop) but with a softer squish.

If this was 'unscented', 5+++ stars...the PERFECT squish (same durable material as a nice cube but a softer squish...like the mini cubes), excellent size too (similar to a dream drop)...but the smell...bleh. It is like a sharpie or whiteout: noxious. I got the blue...maybe the others are better. My only hope is the scent will fade.
