Keep calm I adore this lotion !
This is what I need it the most this winter. This lotion is so smooth and so rich that I would keep putting on my hands and body all day long. Really soothing for a skin that suffered so much this winter. A body lotion that is 100% naturally sourced moisturizers blended with oatmeal and shea butter extracts. Absorb so quickly into your skin , non greasy , comforting my dry skin. The bottle size for sure will be handy for my whole family. I love it

So soothing to my super dry hands
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received St.Ives soothing lotion free for review. I really liked the texture of this lotion. It absorbed quickly without leaving my hands a greasy mess. It left a very light pleasant fragrance that faded quickly. After a few days of frequent use my dry hands were noticeably softer and the fine cracks were beginning to disappear. I have already purchased another bottle to keep beside my bed.

Nice everyday lotion
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a good everyday lotion if you have dry skin. I love in Canada so the winter can make my skin dry, tight and irritated. This lotion went on easy, wasn't greasy and moisturized my skin all day. The oatmeal had a calming effect on any areas that were red or really dry. The lotion has a scent that is pleasant, like a warm vanilla smell. I have eczema on my hands so scented lotion can sometimes make it flare up. I normally opt for unscented lotions for this reason. That being said the scent in this particular lotion wasn't too irritating but did cause a bit of redness on the palms of my hands. I like the way it smells, but would need to wash this off my hands after use. Overall, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it if you want an everyday lotion for dry or irritated skin.

So Moisturizing
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I really enjoy this body lotion because it's very moisturizing and smells so good! This absorbs into my skin quickly and leaves it feeling hydrated and soft the whole day. My skin is dry and can sometimes feel itchy, but after using this a few times now I notice that it is a lot more relieved. I hope that with time this helps to improve my skin but I've been very happy with it so far!

My Favourite Lotion and Scent
I have used this Oatmeal Shea Butter lotion for probably close to 18 years now. I will never change that. I know some people didn't like the consistency/scent change, but as far as the scent goes, I didn't notice anything different with that. It's like oatmeal cookies, raw dough and butter. Plus, it may be a little thinner, but again, I stick with what is good for my skin. This lotion makes your skin feel soothed and comforted. Like a hug for yourself. I use a body mist that smells lightly like cookies, so this lotion pairs well with that. 100% recommend

Why change a good thing
I've been using this product for years and for the most part it's been very good to me. The subtle scent of oatmeal and head butter was very mild. With a hyperactive sense of smell and scent allergy,things like that are what I look for first in anything. Unfortunately like most things I've come accustomed to after trial and error . You've gone and changed the scent. Whatever you've added irirtated me and gave me a rash. I hope other products won't be changing as I've invested in those as well.ill be using a comptetitor body lotion from now on.

My skin was red, burned, sore, all of that goodness that the sun gives you. I started using this product right away and it has made my skin feel so amazing and hydrated! Not this moisturizer. I was given a 3-pack of St. Ives products that had moisturizer, body scrub and body wash, and I loved all of the products. The moisturizer is light, and the scent isn't too potent. All around it's a good product and I recommend it to anyone with dry skin, or someone simply looking for a hand moisturizer.

Finally Found a Good Lotion = Discontinued
After years of searching for a lotion that was long-lasting and non-greasy, I stumbled upon St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal and Shea Butter body lotion by accident, having received a travel size in a gift bag. Finally, here was a lotion that did not leave my clothes a greasy mess and require reapplication multiple times a day. It smelled great and didn't break the bank.
I use the past tense because, of course, St. Ives decided to discontinue this lotion. It's the same old story: you finally find a product that works and the company discontinues it, putting you right back where you started. I can understand wanting to keep a line-up of products fresh and "hip" to the latest trends, but there are plenty of customers who appreciate longevity and consistency with a product. They want to know that they can get what they need and not be subject to the whims of trend.
Please bring this lotion back! I continue to try new brands, but nothing even come close to this product.

New perfume scent is too strong!
I've been using St. Ives body lotion since the mid 1980s, and have always thought it was a great moisturizer at a great price. So when did the perfume scent change? It's absolutely overpowering now. I bought my old favourite recently, the Collagen and Elastin, and it was the same scent, but so much stronger I stopped using it. Then I bought the Oatmeal and Shea Butter, because I remembered than had a fairly subtle smell. Nope, I sit here smell like a drive-by victim of Bath & Bodyworks "Warm Vanilla Sugar." Sheesh, St. Ives, some of us wear other perfume, you know! I think if you're going to ramp up the scent level, you should at least identify it on the bottle. Oatmeal and Shea Butter don't much of a scent on their own, so it should read "Vanilla Sugar Scent" or something. You need to identify the perfumes, so people can decide what they want. You should also have an unscented version. I have nothing against scented body lotions, but if that's where you're headed, there should be a range: Vanilla, Baby Powder, Citrus, Green, Unscented.

Bring back the "old" version!
I was an avid St. Ives user however lately I've been getting blisters on my fingers and hands. I went to a dermatologist and had a biopsy only for it to come back as normal. I was advised to try cutting out different soaps and lotions to determine what I was reacting to. And guess what? It's the "NEW" St. Ives lotion. I'm very interested to know what the different ingredient is that I'm reacting to in this version because I used the old one for years and had no problem.

Silky Smooth

It makes my skin feel silky smooth and prevents me from getting dry skin halfway through the day- especially with this cold Canadian winter. I also really like that it isn't strongly scented. It's light and I can definitely smell the shea butter. No overpowering perfume smell. Overall a great lotion!

The smell is great and when used often it definitely improves the moisture level in your skin. So while I do believe there are better lotions, for the price and economy size, this would be worth getting if you don't want to look into the better quality lotions.

Nice Light Scent and Non Greasy Usage

It dries in less than a minute, which is great for my bust morning schedule. The scent is light shea, and the application feels silky on my skin. Effective lotion, heavily scented

The only drawback is that it is heavily scented in my opinion and I definitely prefer subtle or unscented lotions. If you don’t mind scent, this is a great choice!

I have VERY dry skin and I work in a kitchen environment, so constantly washing my hands & drying them out - this lotion has been the best one for bringing my hands back to health & prevent the skin from cracking. He works with his hands, so he has a bottle of this in his car that he uses daily, and one at home he uses as well.(clearly he really likes it) For the most part, I think it works pretty good. Moisturizes your skin, dries quickly and doesn't leave that sticky feeling after. Smells pretty too!

The oatmeal is sooo soothing when my skin is itchy (I get stress based itches too) and I love the smell of it. They also have this scent in a bodywash, so it's nice to be able to apply a lotion that doesn't interfere with my body wash scent after my shower.

It moisturizes well, but it can be kind of sticky during summer time. The scent is great, not too overpowering. I do not put perfume when I put that lotion on, though. The price is really cheap for the effectiveness. I have dry skin and I would recommend it.

My new go to body lotion!
I have super sensitive skin that gets super dry & cracks during the winter.
The oatmeal & shea butter body lotion saved my skin, especially my elbows.
The body lotion made my arms and legs very moisturized and softer.
There is a slight scent however it is not overpowering or irritant. It quickly dissipates.
I highly recommend this body lotion to anyone who has sensitive / dry skin.

Fantastic!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My daughter swims 3-5 days a week and her skin is sensitive to begin with; but with the added chlorine she becomes extremely dry and itchy. I found using this on her daily has calmed her skin and the dry itchy patches are quickly clearing up! I love the smell also, it's not strong so I am able to use it. It is a great product!
