Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Perfume Scent I bought two bottles of the ivory snow to stock up during the pandemic. I washed my babies clothes and when it came out of the dryer I noticed it didn't smell like the original soft baby scent that I'm used to, I thought something got lodge between his clothes and caused that scent. So, his next laundry day I decided to hand wash his clothes and something told me to smell the detergent and to my surprise it smells like awful perfume scent that I do not like. I wish I can return or get a refund because Its too strong for babies clothes. I wouldn't even wash my clothes with that detergent. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SCENT!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Am So Disappointed! I’ve been using this detergent since my first born 15 yrs ago. My mom has been using this detergent as well for myself and my siblings when we were babies as well. I had my 2nd daughter and the scent was the same and did it what the detergent was suppose to do. Then I had my 3rd daughter and everything with the detergent stayed the same. I’m not exactly sure when but it had to be sometime in 2020 that the scent changed during this pandemic. I don’t know why but the new scent smells awful. The baby scent is what made the detergent perfect. Please bring back the baby scent, I have to use purex as the baby scent I’m missing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The once gentle smelling icon is now gone . The gentle smelling icon is gone .... Whoever decided to mess with our Ivory Snow at all should be fired . What they’ve done to this once stand alone and above all others is no more . I’ve used this since my first born 1996, and most recently my third child . We see the skin clinic at Cheo and this was on the list if approved laundry soaps as of 2017. I doubt it is any longer and if they don’t already know I will be bringing in the bottle to our June follow up to show how strong it is and how badly my kids skin is reacting . The perfume smell is overpowering . Had I known they were changing it ( ruining it) I would have stocked up on the old classic true ivory snow .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy I just opened up a new bottle of ivory snow and to my surprise the scent was different. I’m so upset that the scent was completely different. The original scent brought so much comfort to me and to my family. I’m tired of products using floral scents. I’m disappointed in the company for changing the product as there were so much consumers buying the product due to the scent but I’m also disappointed in myself for using that last bottle of goodness carelessly. I’m currently pregnant again and I’m hoping that this problem will be solved by the time my baby comes. I’ll be returning the bottle I bought as I can’t stand the scent and I’ll wait until the original scent comes back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Devastated by the change in scent I have been using Ivory Snow since my now-teenagers were babies because everyone in the family loves the scent and while I am sensitive to many fragrances, it's one that doesn't give me a headache. I picked up two large containers last week only to find when I did my laundry that the scent in the bottle seemed different, I was hoping things would change after the laundry was finished but no - now our clothes have a sickly powdery smell that is giving me a massive headache,. WHY would you change the iconic fragrance of this laundry soap? Please please please bring back the old one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful New Scent I first bought a small bottle to test it out, I absolutely loved it! I came to this website to learn more about the stages, and stumbled across the reviews. I didn't understand the negative feedback of this "new scent". I figured I must have gotten a bottle with the old scent still. Next time I bought the bigger bottle, because I loved it so much. Now I see! I was tipped off immediately by the difference in colour, the smell at first wasn't so terrible, it was after wash and dry that the rotten smell radiated. Awful. Just awful. Who signed off on the change, and new scent?? Definitely won't be buying anymore. Off to find a new brand. So unfortunate because I really loved the original.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new scent is awful!!!!! I’m so upset that the best detergent ever does not exist anymore. I’ve been using ivory snow since my daughter was born, and continue to use it for my entire family because I just love the smell of it. It’s the smell of my baby which is now gone. The scent is so strong and it won’t go away on our clothes or anything. My husband smells like he’s wearing woman’s perfume. It makes us feel sick, it’s so disgusting. I will NOT be buying this anymore. I have a brand new jug that I’m going to throw out because we cannot stand the smell. Please bring back your original scent !!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New scent awful and far too strong I have been using this product for about 15 years, continuing to use it for all my family’s clothing long after my babies had grown as the scent was so light and lovely. The scent, now completely changed, smells like a Tommy Bahama perfume and is so strong (and unpleasant) it gives me headaches. I can’t imagine subjecting a baby to that smell. I can’t wear my clothes washed in this soap to my ‘no scents allowed’ workplace as it is crazy strong. I will, unfortunately, have to find another unscented brand of soap. So sad. I used to get compliments on how nice my clothes smelled :(
