With decongestant, cough suppressant, expectorant, and soothing menthol in each dose, this syrup offers an effective solution for multiple symptoms. Up to 6 hours of cough relief. Benylin Extra Strength Cough Complete 250 mL syrup comes in a 100-millilitre or 250-millilitre bottle.
Dosage & Directions: Shake well before using. Adult Use Only (12 years and older): Take 2 tsp. (10 mL) every 6 hours. Do not take more than 8 tsp. (40 mL) in 24 hours.

Caution: Do not use more than the recommended dose, do not use with other products containing any of these active ingredients or other cough/cold medications, do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients and do not use with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (drugs for depression or Parkinson's disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have been told that your body breaks down drugs slowly or are taking other medications, heart or thyroid disease, high blood pressure, decreased kidney function, diabetes, glaucoma, diffculty urinating due to an enlarged prostate, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma or emphysema, cough with excessive phlegm (mucus), difficulty breathing or other chronic lung conditions as these could be signs of a serious condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Stop use and ask a doctor if you develop wheezing, rash or itching, symptoms last for more than 7 days, sore throat pain lasts for more than 2 days , nervousness, dizziness, sleeplessness or new symptoms appear or symptoms worsen, are accompanied by a high fever (>38°C), persistent headache or the production of thick yellow/green phlegm.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose: Call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.

Red dye #40 in all Benylin products on the shelf
I’m a an ER physician and recommend Benylin products to a lot of my patients with upper respiratory symptoms. I have no doubt that the products with DM work well. I recently had an aggravating cough and went searching for an OTC cough suppressant for myself. I was very surprised and disappointed that I could not find one Benylin product without red dye 40 as a listed ingredient. It is not a necessary ingredient and comes with potential risk - please consider not using this. I will be recommending other brands until I see this change. Thank you.

Been using Benylin since I was a child
This time my illness is EXACTLY AS LISTED ON THIS BOX. That is what makes the entire product line so reliable. Regardless of your symptoms, Benylin has you covered. And no I do not work for the company! I believe in the quality control totally and appreciate that you take only medicine into your body for what actually is ailing you. First Cough Plus got rid of my death rattle in breaking up my chest issues and now Im helping to keep a tissue co. In business.
I am never without Benylin in the house.

This product does what it lists on the box.
I've been really sick with terrible chest congestion and a cough that is so nagging I can't talk at times for the last week . At night time I was only getting about 3 hours of sleep so going to work was quite frustrating to say the least being so tired and sick at the same time. I bought this product 2 days ago and it completely takes my cough away and every other symptom I've been feeling. Thank God I found this product it really really helps and if you have a cough that won't go away this product Won't Let You Down.

Really effective!
I needed something that would calm my cough enough to sleep but would also allow my body to get rid of the mucous in my lungs. This worked perfectly. It also helped with congested sinuses. I found the taste to be better than most.

Worked a little but side effects too harsh
I got side effects such as severe nausea, dizziness and feeling flushed & disoriented. This would happen within at least 10 minutes of taking the medication each time. Switched to just tylenol for now.
Never reacted to a cough medication like this in my life and I know I've had all these ingredients before.

Works when nothing work for me
Works very well, no cough meds ever work for me. This one taste bad as all cough meds pretty much do. However it works like it promises 6 hours of relief and with the sooth coating for throat helps so much. My cough is almost gone now and it’s been 3 times taking this medicine. Thank you so much

Side Effects for its use
I have had severe digestive upset since I started using this product. I cannot be ascertain if this condition is caused by this product, but it is too coincidental to not be caused by it.
WHAT IS TRULY UNBELIEVABLE IS THAT I CANNOT FIND A LIST OF SIDE EFFECTS ANYWHERE!!!
