Directions:
1. Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product
2. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily.
3. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor.
4. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

Deep cleans
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I #gotitforfree to try out this sample in the mail. My skin is acne prone and I was always insecure about my face and skin without make up on. I used this product for 7 days before submitting the review. I use this as a step 2 in the routine and can already see the difference on my skin and neck, the acne seems to be less and my face can relax a bit in preparation for step 3. I need to use it long term to be able to really see the results but so far I am pleased, it works great. Has a pleasant smell, and applies well to the skin. I like it a lot and will definitely continue to buy and would definitely recommend.

Terrible
New version is terrible!!! Bring back the original toner back. The new one is giving me pimples. The old version (orange) was excellent !!!!

Never thought it could get this bad.
When I bottle ran out I bought the new formula to give Clean and Clear the benefit of the doubt after relying on this product for over 20 years. It didn't clean and left my face sticky. I tried this for a week to give it a chance and there was just no way I could use this product. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my wasted time and trying to find another product to do the job.

Great pairing for acne prone skin with Step 1 & 3
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a great Astringent to get over the counter without any prescription since it has maximum strength to combat Acne. My skin is acne prone and after using this product as step 2 after the use of the CLEAN & CLEAR ESSENTIALS® Foaming Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin, I did notice less come back of my acne. The fragrance is a bit on the stronger side for me but in a good way. I started off applying this once a day to make sure it wasn't drying out my skin, it did not dry it out nor was it harsh on my skin which is sensitive. Its a great product if your on a budget and does the job. Would surely recommend this for daily use and to make it part of your daily skin care routine.

A new addition to my routine
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) As an adult I dont get a lot of acne but I do get it. Now wearing a mask at the hospital for work 8 hours a day with no end in sight and sometimes 16 hours a day I have developed constant Mascne. This is a word we coined at work meaning acne caused from wearing a mask. The sweat and oils buildup and no breathing for the skin. So me and my two growing teens were very thankful for this product. Its a product our whole family can use! And it works great!!

Deep Cleaning without prescription
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Deep cleans my skin with maximum strength to treat and prevent pimple and breakouts from coming back. It was gentle on my skin and didn't make my skin feel tight at all. It was easy to apply with just a cotton ball and you can feel it working right away. I have used it and my pimples haven't come back. No prescription required with all the maximum strength you need to target your pimples so they never come back.

left my face red and burnt
I tried out this astringent with low hopes and it did that exactly. It left my skin very red and in pain. It didn't help with my pimples, and it didn't remove oil, dirt etc. Overall this product disappointed me but I've figured out salicylic acid doesn't help my blemishes nearly as much as benzoyl peroxide does. If salicylic acid works for you and your skin isn't sensitive, maybe this could be an okay product for you but personally I wont be purchasing it again

Stopped my breakouts

With this toner, I noticed that it stung a bit more and especially while using around the eye area, so keep it away from your eyes. My face felt much cleaner after using and I barely noticed any breakouts lately. Will definitely continue to use it in rotation with my other toner!

Great as a toner

Get rid off my blackheads

I don't like the smell of it either, it's almost like pure alcohol. It also dried my already dry skin out a lot. I don't recommend this product, unless you enjoy the pain of having a burning face!

Great second step for clean skin
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I can honestly say I have never tried a clean and clear astringent before. When I opened the product I was expecting a strong alcohol-based smell, but this product DOES NOT have it!
The smell of other astringents would often cause my lungs to hurt and burn, especially if I used it on my nose.
This second step cleanser just smells clean and fresh. Its a very light scent but it not over powering and you barely notice its there.
The product itself works very well and is comparable to other astringents but seems gentler on my skin and doesnt nearly burn as so many astringents have for me in the past. I definitely think it took away any extra oil and buildup on my skin, and left it feeling soft.
There is no weird residue or oily feeling afterwards, and my skin looks matte and fresh.
This will for sure be purchased again and recommended! Thanks for letting me try this product!

Amazing deep cleanser!

This product leaves my face feeling clean.
I use this product daily as a final cleaning at the end of the day which removes all dirt and grime on my face. Earlier in my life I used it to help with my acne which it helped greatly. My acne was so bad I thought I would have facial scaring but perhaps this product relieved that.

Love This Product
I love using this cleanser every few days. For my skin type, it's like a borderline chemical peel - wiping my face down removes dirt, even after showering, and makes my skin so smooth. When I apply moisturizer right after, my skin responds really well. Love it!!
