I see what the fuss is about.
I originally bought a trial size of this to see why everyone raved about it. I had previously been using cream and milk cleansers and a soft microfiber cloth to remove my makeup and SPF and was pretty happy doing so, but I also love trying new things. I tried the trial once or twice and wasn't immediately in love, so I set it aside. At some point I came around on double cleansing, and I figured I'd try this out again as first cleanse. I now see what all the fuss was about. It really effectively removes makeup and preps skin for a second cleanse, particularly if you want to use a cleanser with active ingredients. I love pairing this with a BHA/Salicylic acid cleanser. It removes makeup and SPF without stripping or leaving a greasy residue. It's easy and pleasant to use. I do think I would prefer if this were in a tube rather than a jar, but otherwise I've definitely grown to love this as a first cleanse.

Easiest use best results
I got a sample from this product and it's the best makeup remover I ever used! It gets off everything, even better than the "take the day off makeup remover for lids, lashes and lips". I would use this product regularly, however, the ethylhexyl palmitate is a concern for me (because of palm oil), I wonder if there would be a more sustainable alternative ingredient.

Awesome!
I was skeptic about this product, because two main things, I have oily skin and I wear waterproof mascara. So, I used eye remover and skin cleaner separately, until I got the cleaning balm as a gift for my birthday (from Clinique loyalty program). I was surprised!! My skin was perfectly clean with a small quantity of product. I had to spend a few more minutes to get the mascara off, but the final result is pretty good! I absolutely recommend this product. You will love it

So gentle on your eyes
I used to used make up remover wipes . I received Take off the day balm as member birthday gift last year. It's a game changer for me. It's so gentle on your eyes and easy to use. Your fingers literally glide over your skin and eyelashes while you remove your make up. Very easy and your skin feels lovely and soft once you have rinsed it off . No cotton wool to throw away either . It's a keeper for me

The best
I wish I could buy more before it sold-out . This is the best makeup remover balm I ever used. I thought with an oily skin its not suitable for me but this one convinced me that I was wrong about it, and the life is easier every night when I want to wash my makeup.

Best Makeup Remover!!!
I used this just once and now I look forward to washing my face every night. I started using the City Block SPF 40 and using the Step 1 liquid cleanser alone didn't remove it. The texture of the balm is so silky and feels soft when rubbed over your face. DON'T DOUBLE DIP! Make sure your hands are clean or use a spatula. You can feel the balm melting your face and eye makeup. Once you rinse it off, your face feels clean and soft ready for the 3-step system. I couldn't stop caressing my face. After I just wanted to put more makeup on just to use this product again. It works and feels that amazing. My new holy grail

This is hands down the best makeup remover I have ever used. Goes on silky and melts wonderfully on your skin, emulsifies easily with a bit of water and rinses clean. Removes all makeup easily and completely, even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I have large pores and this wonderful product cleans deep into them as well. I always follow with my 3 step .

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?!
I have been searching 10 years for a skin/eye sensitive makeup remover, and have been disappointed by a lot of companies thus far. Many skin care products boast suitability for sensitive skin, and falsely claim they will not irritate eyes. However, if I got any product in my eyes while removing the eyeliner from my waterline, my eyes would burn worse than if they had simply been subjected to my bar of soap. NOT ANYMORE!!! I LOVE Clinique's Take The Day Off! It melts off my eye makeup better than any other product I have ever used before, and does not burn my eyes at all if I accidentally go too close to my eyeball while removing my makeup. The balm washes off easily with my facial cleanser and leaves my skin soft. I am positively elated that I have finally found a makeup remover that delivers on its promise. The best makeup remover I have ever used.
I was skeptical about using this on my face, but I love the Take The Day off Eye makeup remover, so when I received this as a gift, I tried it & love it. I use it every day. You don't have to use much for it to take your makeup off so it lasts awhile. And it does not make your skin break out either. Great product.

Works Great!
I took a chance and ordered the full size of this without ever sampling it, which I though was risky based on the price. I fugured the reviews were pretty good so why not. It works really well, removes my High Impact mascara and tinted moisturizer really well... haven't had a chance to try it on full coverage foundation yet though. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I still think it's a little pricy for an everyday makeup remover, when drug store micellar water works really great as well.

I got this as a sample and the packaging is great at resealing it so I've been able to get quite a few uses out of it. The product reminds me of coconut oil by the way it feels on my skin but it takes off eye make up great without any sting. Left the skin very moisturized afterwards

Best makeup remover
I have a love hate relationship with this makeup remover. It is the best makeup remover on the market in my opinion. It will take a whole face off, the most stubborn waterproof makeup, everything off. It also doesn't burn the eyes or make your vision go blurring from using. My only complaint is I like to take my makeup off right when I get home but I don't do a full face wash until later in the night. If I use this and then wait a few hours before doing my usual cleansing routine I will get breakouts from using this. If I use it and then do my full usual cleansing routine I'm fine with it. So I keep one around for when I wear stubborn eye makeup or out for the night and get home later. Wish my skin would allow me to use it at my daily makeup remover.

This Is A Spa In A Jar
This product is AMAZING! At day's end a small bit of this balm goes a long way. It smooths onto your skin like butter-it glides over your face and is super effective at removing makeup with either a dry or damp cloth. Following up with my Clinique Cleanser 3 Step gives my skin the fresh start it needs after the day.

Morning wash
I use this product in the morning before I apply moisturizer and a light application of make-up. I love the gentleness of this product and that it doe not leave a residue post-wash. It maintains the skin's moisture, which is something I value considering the cold air, drying winds, and dry heat days of Canadian winters. This product also proved valuable in summer after spending a day travelling by car and feeling the sun roast the skin through the windshield. I have used this product to remove makeup, and it removes it well.

Takes it all off!
I absolutely love this. When I wear make up, it's not budging. This basically melts it off my face. It even gets off lash glue, which is sometimes very difficult to get off.

The best ever
I was giving this as sample and fell in love with it after using it. It does way better job than oil or liquid makeup remover. You apply just a few amount and spray some water for second massage...and finally rinse it. I just feel so good after using this...i don't even need to use eye and lipsticks makeup remover cuz this one is all-in-one for me. I hope this product will last forever cuz I will use it forever. Highly recommended.

I cldnt figure out the use of it in the beginning butttt when i came to onow how it works, it became my favorite one. Its very light weight. I just put on my face nd thn wipe it off after few secends and afterwords i wash it off. Its very gentle, smooth and a thorough cleaning of the face too.

This make-up remover is FANTASTIC!
I received this product in a sample bag I received and to be honest couldn't have really cared less (it was nice to get, but I wasn't super excited, it's just make-up remover!) But then I used it....and WOW! It's so smooth and takes all the make-up off with a little amount. I used to use make-up remover from Avon (which still is a great product don't get me wrong!) but I could never go back after using this. It's awesome!

Favourite cleansing balm
I've tried a bunch of cleansing balms, and this is the best by far. Takes everything off in a few seconds, emulsifies and rinses off clean, doesn't make my eyes blurry, and doesn't have any scent. Nothing earth shattering or exciting, just a thorough and gentle first cleanse.

I just don't get it
This make up removing cleanser is raved about and I know a few people who swear by it, but why? Oh why is this a favourite? It's a tube of grease. Every time I use it, it causes a break out. It's like rubbing lard on my face. It doesnt remove waterproof mascara and once this grease is n your face the product itself becomes very hard to remove. Even worse is, it's the free birthday gift and I get one every year. I really wish the birthday gift could be another product, any other product because this is the only Clinique product I truly hate.
