Purchased one of these a while back when we were potty training our now 4 year old. We never did find out if they are actually water proof as she's never had an accident in the car. It did catch all the crumbs that would have otherwise fallen into her seat. Never had issues with it sliding around or the back folding over.
Purchased 2 more after our niece and nephew both peed in their seats right through onto the (thankfully leather) car seats.
