CHAGA is a slow maturing mushroom which grows primarily on birch trees, obtaining nutrients from its host and making these nutrients available to us.
Chaga resembles a piece of burnt charcoal and therefore it is sometimes referred to as “Tinder Mushroom”.
Throughout history, Wild Chaga has been most widely consumed as a naturally caffeine-free tea. This delicious tea has a subtle woodsy vanilla flavour, and is hand picked in the wild Canadian boreal forest of Ontario and Quebec. Only choosing mature chaga on mature birch trees, thereby preserving the beauty of the forest and helping to restore the health of the ecosystem.

Suggested Use: Use 1/3 cup chaga chunks for 1 litre of water. Simmer for 10 minutes to several hours adding more water as needed. Longer cooking will result in a stronger tea. Reuse chaga chunks until the colour of the tea is significantly faded (3-6x). After straining the tea, store used chaga chunks in the freezer in between batches or leave it on the stove top and reboil daily adding water as needed. For variety brew with other sweet and earthy spices.
