Bought these as well as the Ultimate Softness from Hearos. Found these a little less comfortable with a minor volume decrease -- I'd recommend the Ultimate Softness. That said, these are more effective if the Ultimate Softness simply don't do the job.
I also prefer the beige-ish colour of the Ultimate Softness over the Smurf blue of these. Get some odd looks at the library.

These are very soft and expand slowly. They stay in all night so I don't have to play "find the earplug" when I wake up.
The noise reduction isn't mind blowing, but they're just earplugs, I wasn't expecting them to block out every little noise. I am very satisfied with the noise reduction they provide while trying to sleep through the day for graveyard shifts.
I haven't tried a huge variety of earplugs, and I don't think I will be trying any more varieties since I am quite happy with these ones.

While these earplugs are fine, I didn't find them any more effective than many other brands I've used in the past. In fact, they were less effective. I tried them out after reading all the positive reviews here and elsewhere, but will be returning to my previous brand (Flents' Quiet Please).
Despite the Hearos' 33db rating, and me properly inserting them (deeply) in my ear canal (I've slept with earplugs for 10+ years and know how to use them), I could still -- quite clearly -- hear just about everything. Definitely nothing close to "muting." There was perhaps a muffling effect, but that's about it.
That said, they are very soft and very comfortable. Just not exceptionally effective.
