I love using it, and it really help me and baby from the start when she just born. ANd now she is 5mth old and I still use it, and I bought like 8 of them from Well so far. But one big big health realated caution thing of using it is: Make Sure you WASH it and CLEAN it well, if not, baby very easy to get bacteria from the shiel like the nipple, once baby get oral problem would lead to drinking problem. Really need to keep an eye on this.

I thought it was a good idea, but it wasn't.
It really protects the nipple and is easy to use, but the problem was that it did not regulate the milk flow and my baby kept chocking.
i tried the 20mm, and when i thought it was big i bought the 16mm, but nothing changed, the milk kept filling in the cap and the baby chocking.
Another good point is that your baby gets used to the rubber feeling, if you managed to use it from time to time, so that it will b easier to switch to the bottle wwhen you want to stop breastfeeding.

I had difficulty breastfeeding in the hospital when my baby was born and the nurse suggested a nipple shield and brought me the Medela Contact Nipple Shield. It made a world of difference, and while I can sometimes nurse my baby without it, I still use it when baby has latching issues. Recently, I left the shield behind when visiting family and Well.ca had the replacement I ordered to my house in 3 days. I love this product. I love Well.ca!

The Medela Contact Nipple Shield, I can honestly say is the best product I have ever used. It allows me to bond with my baby in a way that otherwise would have never been possible. I was beyond disappointed when I realized I couldn't breastfeed, and had no hope when a nurse suggested the nipple shield. I gave in, because I figured I didn't have anything to lose for $9.00 and it was amazing! It worked instantaneously. My baby and I are still breastfeeding. The product does exactly what you need it to do, and its so easy to use, you can't even tell it's there. I am so thankful Well.ca got it to me within 4 business days, and let me know where it was every step of the way. the product is amazing, the company is amazing!
