Metamucil MultiHealth Fibre helps lower cholesterol levels to promote heart health, and promotes digestive health. Made with 100% naturally sourced psyllium fibre.
Directions:
- For relief of irregulairty: Adults and children over 12: 1 serving up to 3 time daily. Children (6-12 eyars): 1/2 the adult serving up to 3 times daily. Generally take effect in 12-72 hours.
- To help lower cholesterol levels to promote heart health: Adults only: 1 serving 3 times daily. For best results in lowering cholesterol take Metamucil with a meal.
- To help temporarily suppress appetite when take prior to meal: Adults only: 2 servings prior to a meal up to 3 times daily. For occasional use only.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. May cause an allergic reaction in people sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium. May cause temporary gas and/or bloating. Do not use within 2 hours of taking any other medications or natural health products, or if you have difficulty swallowing.
Store at room temperature tightly closed to protect from humidity.

I need this product for my brother who has autism. Works wonders! The other products have aspartame, maltodextrin and colours. Please make more of the coarse original with real sugar.

Metamucil Original coarse
I have been taking this product for 22 years since being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It works very well for me to slow down the gut by providing bulk. The other versions of Metamucil with artificial sweeteners and flavors are a huge problem. Artificial sweeteners make the bowel problems worse and the flavors are extremely strong and have an unpleasant after taste. Coarse Metamucil does not clump like the smooth textured product. Leave the original Metamucil product alone. It does no need to be adulterated to make it appealing.

What's up?
I have used the coarse sugared Metamucil for over 30 years. Always worked very well for my issues. Now, it is so very hard to find anywhere and the price is out of site now. The flavoured smooth artificially sweetened is cheaper, but, I feel is an inferior product. It definitely doesn't work as well as the coarse. I have tried it and have enough years experience with both to make an unbiased opinion I feel.
The smooth, artificially sweetened, coloured and flavoured Metamucil is not the epitome of a health product in my opinion.
"Make the coarse fiber Metamucil more readily available and bring the price down in line with the others."
I feel really ripped off when I buy it, when and if I can find it.
So "what's up with the big change?" It's supposed to be a health product not a casual beverage.
