Rated 3 out of 5 by from Change formula I’m using this sunscreen form last two years and used to love it but recently bought 4 pack to stock up on my favourite sunscreen because of current pandemic situation but all four bottles doesn’t suit my skin they irritates and feel itchy I don’t know if they changed it’s formula or what really disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Your eyes will regret this The sunscreen itself is fine and feels somewhat hydrating, but this sunscreen seeps into your eyes and it stings and burns like nothing else - avoid this product! I attempted to use this on multiple occasions and each time was left unable to keep my eyes open, tearing up, and rushing to wash my entire face off and rinse out my eyes. Will only be using this as a very expensive body sunscreen from now on until I use this tube up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light sunscreen I've received this sunscreen to try for free from ChickAdvisor. I normally do not feel comfortable wearing sunscreens because they're usually greasy and have a heavy texture. But this one from Neutrogena has a super light texture and it is not greasy at all. The smell is fresh, with a very "summery" vibe, it does not have the very typical smell that most sunscreens have. The value is worth the quality of the product. I also consider it to be gentle enough to be applied on my face skin. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Please make fragrance free Otherwise what would be a really good sunscreen for the fact that it blends so effortlessly, is not greasy and doesn’t leave a white cast. I can see that the gel-cream formula is quite unique to the North American market but the fragrance just ruins it. I got such a bad headache from the fragrance, I couldn’t even apply it near my face. I can’t really say that I would recommend this to anyone as they could have a similar reaction or breakout. Please leave fragrance out of your products Neutrogena they are awesome without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing for oily dehydrated skin! This is a dream sunscreen for people who hate wearing sunscreen. As someone with oily acne prone skin that gets dehydrated from using Retin A finding the right SPF has been a project. Most are too greasy or clog my pores or looks terrible under make up. This stuff has been a life saver. It goes on like a gel moisturizer and doesn’t get greasy. It absorbs right away. It does have a light fragrance but I’ve found it doesn’t bother me. Definitely check this out if you’re struggling to find a daily sunscreen for oily skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Greasy, but workable I adore the entire HydroBoost line so when I heard about this sunscreen, I was so excited. I typically wear SPF 15 in the winter (since my commute is in the dark both ways and my office doesn’t have windows) and SPF 30 in the fall and spring. And every summer, I struggle to find an SPF 50 that I like. So far, this will be the winner of them all! No white cast, no flashback, good price, doesn’t break me out, easily accessible - and it truly feels like effective protection. I feel safe in the sun. But it is SO SO SO GREASY. You need 1 ml of product for your face for effective coverage and protection. Maybe I’m using more than 1 ml, but my face is an oil slick as soon as I apply it. It’s advertized as SPF for face and body, but how greasy it is makes me think it’s just for body. I’ll continue to use it as long as I can work around it. In the morning, I apply a mattifying moisturizer, wait 10 minutes for that to absorb, apply this, wait 15 minutes for it to absorb, then I apply a mattifying primer. With these steps, the finish is great, and it lasts all day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! As a woman of colour with a darker complexion, finding a sunscreen that I can use, that doesn’t leave an extremely noticeable white cast, has been impossible. I came across this product after watching a YouTube video that highlighted sunscreens for women with darker complexions and decided to give it a try. I was blown away by the fact that a product this affordable could work so well! Absolutely no white caste, it absorbs quickly and I actually like the smell!!! I am ordering a bunch more!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from AMAZING FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT LIKE SUNSCREEN! This sunscreen so far has been amazing. I just purchased this and so far I’m loving it. I hate wearing sunscreen of any sort and would rather burn than put sunscreen on till I found this! It goes on like a gel, doesn’t have a funny smell and barley feels like anything is on the skin. Not to mention it is non greasy which is a bonus and the price point is good. If your on the fence about this trust me and buy it, you won’t regret. I can’t wait to try out the rest of the hydro boost line!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings This sunscreen is the only sunscreen that doesn't give me white cast. I have dark skin and its dry so products don't absorb well into it. This sunscreen has a very watery texture and absorbs great into my skin. It is also very hydrating which I like a lot. I do like this sunscreen but there are downsides. This sunscreen makes my eyes water and is very uncomfortable if you put it too close too your eye so I have to be careful to avoid my undereye area while using it. This sunscreen also has a very strong smell. I am not sensitive to fragrance so when I saw reviews saying it smelled bad I though I could handle it. Boy was I WRONG. This sunscreen has a smell so strong that I can't put it around my nose or else I will get a headache. Overall it is a good product for a good price but there are a lot of better options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best best best Bought the 50spf for my son He has severe eczema and psoriasis as well as a sun allergy I was a little hesitant with the scent as I bought it on a whim so we did a patch test. Always trying to find SOMETHING that will not break him out. I cannot rave enough Thin, protects long term and NO rash. I'm absolutely thrilled, this product works. I will never have to try and find another sunscreen Neutrogena, you win. You've won the big league eczema game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great spectrum protection, but too oily I've been using this sunscreen for about 3 months now, and I'm on the fence about it. First of all, you only have to use a little because it goes a long way, smells sooo good. Very good UV protection and doesn't have a white cast to it. I have very oily skin and this makes it worse as well as sometimes makes me break out. There's definitely great PROS to this product, but they should change their formula.. would recommend to people that have dry/combo skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The protection you need with a quality you'll LOVE! Loving the feeling of the new Hydro Boost water gel sunscreen! It's dermatologist recommended, hypoallergenic and water resistant for 80 minutes....so amazing! This light weight formula left my skin hydrated with a non-greasy feeling that didn't clog my pores. I love that I'm protected from harmful UVA and UVB rays and my skin feels like I'm wearing nothing. Definitely not like other sunscreens on the market. I'm so impressed, thank you Neutrogena!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Conflicted. Please make a fragrance-free version I think the way the formula absorbs, and doesn't leave a white-cast is fantastic, HOWEVER, due to the strong fragrance it was quite irritating on the face, and perhaps had attributed to making my eyes water. Would not recommend for those with eczema, or dry irritated skin. Fine to use on extremities/ less delicate parts of the body. Any chance in the near future Neutrogena will make this formula without the blue dye and fragrance? '

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stings my eyes and peels off.. For the price, it leaves an oily finish, causes major eye irritation if applied anywhere near the eyes, (my eyes water and sting for 1/2 hour until I washed it off LOL) and left a greasy finish. After awhile it turns powdery and can be drying. If you touch your face it will peel off and give a really gross illusion of your skin after exfoliating.. if you know what I mean. Overall, there is DEFINITELY better choices out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holy Grail Sunnscreen This goes on really smooth and not oily at all! I find it absorbs very well and for someone who is acne prone, I haven't broke out at all. It does start to burn my eyes later in the day but I've just been remembering to not get too close to my eyes when applying and that's made a huge difference. Definitely recommend to any one who is acne prone and doesn't want the usual greasy sunscreens that leave a white cast.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this because I was tired of sunscreens giving me a white cast and thought this was a good choice since it's so popular. I hate the perfumey smell of this and wish there was a non-fragranced version. It also pilled up a few minutes after applying no matter what I did (like using different moisturizers underneath or just wearing the sunscreen by itself).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from STRONG fragrance & stung my eyes, but nice texture I thought I'd found "the one" when I felt how great the texture was, and saw that the product absorbed nicely even when applying the proper amount (which is a lot -- about 2 finger lengths). That's been my main issue when trying to find a good face sunscreen: finding one that absorbs nicely even when you wear the full amount necessary to properly protect you. However, my eyes sting and water ALL. DAY. LONG. when I wear this sunscreen. It's unbearable by the end of the day and I can't wait to wash my face the second I walk in the door. The fragrance is also INSANELY potent. The first few days I wore it, I could smell it all day long; I never acclimatized to it. Eventually after several days my sense of smell adjusted to it, but I'll never forget how strong it was at first when I wasn't used to it. I don't want to waste it so I'm using the rest of the tube as a body sunscreen but I won't be repurchasing once I've finished it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for dry skin on the body but not face I bought this because I usually love Neutrogena products and was encouraged to try this product. It comes out quite watery, more so than the usual lotion consistency of a water gel. It tends to run when you sweat and your face gets sticky. So I have been using it on my body. I wouldn't recommend it if you're exercising as it did not absorb well for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a gel. This product is entirely misleading. Like all other lotion sunscreens - it's a white, chalky lotion that doesn't go on smooth and leaves a cast. Nothing about this could reasonably be called anything a consumer would recognize as a 'gel'. I'm reporting it to the Competition Bureau in Canada. Lying on your product packaging is not ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy grail for sunscreen I love this sunscreen. Most sunscreens (including their no breakout one) causes acne, leaves a white residue, or breaks up under makeup. This sunscreen does neither and leaves my skin glowing - it absorbs quickly with no residue, leaves a nice fresh glow, does not cause breakouts, and stays put under makeup! I love it!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed that the 30spf version not available I am truly disappointed that the 30spf version is no longer available. I would predominantly use this product when on vacation to allow myself to tan more naturally…50spf is too much protection for me. Would have been nice to be able to choose between the 50/30spf. I have had to try to find another brand entirely.☹️

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Spreads into eyes and mouth, burns. I wanted to like this product but unfortunately it spreads a lot after application. It seeps into eyes creating a stinging and burning sensation which is unavoidable. It also gets onto lips and into the mouth with an extreme chemical taste. Definitely not worth it. Switched to a Korean brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pills on skin I wanted to love this! I do love the dewy finish. I do love the hydration, but it pills on my skin, and make me look like I have dandruff on my face and body. I have used it with both, the Hydroboost skin care, and the Bright Boost line. I don't understand why it peels off, but it does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my fave sunscreens! I’ve been using this sunscreen for a year now. One bottle lasts me 6 months and I wear it every single day. I use the SPF 50 version and it offers my skin protection without leaving a white cast or making my face greasy. It has hyaluronic acid in it and is hydrating! I’m a big fan (:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I have recently started using this product and I would say that its worth buying it. Non greasy and gel based formula makes it a wonderful product. I have a sensitive skin with break outs and I have found it very light and gentle on my skin with a mild fragrance. I loved it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caused a Rash At first I quite enjoyed the product, I like the smell, the feel of it, etc. Once it was worked into the skin it worked quite well. However after using this product for about 2 months, all of a sudden I am now getting a rash on my arms and can no longer use the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from feels good at first but a bit too greasy and causes clogging I’ve been using this sunscreen for months now, every single day. Although i like the way it applies and hydrates my normal/dry skin, i find it can look too oily and greasy. I also noticed that i have more congested bumps and clogged pores more than usual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE, LOVE, LOVE I have been using Hydro Boost SPF 50 since it’s launch. This lightweight gel-creme feels amazing on your skin and helps to protect against UV rays and sun damage. I love all of my Neutrogena Sunscreens but this one is a favourite!
