Mostly sugar and water
Learn from my mistake. I am a pure vanilla lover and invest money on the best quality that I can. I blame myself for not doing proper research on this product. I have used Nielsen-Massey extracts before and was happy with the product, and that’s probably the reason I didn’t look more closely at ingredients before purchasing. My bad.
First, this is in no way a paste. I assumed that it would be a paste of ground vanilla bean. It is not. It is more of a syrup. You can spoon it out and it pours freely.
First ingredient: sugar. Second ingredient: water. Third ingredient: vanilla extract. Vanilla bean is the fourth ingredient, followed by thickener.
For the high price, I’m very disappointed that the product is mostly sugar and water. I tasted the syrup on its own. Yes, there is good vanilla flavour, but the sweetness is cloying and I would have been better off with a good quality vanilla extract without the sugar, water, and thickener.
If you want really high quality vanilla without the filler, go to a company called Giddy YoYo and order their pure ground vanilla bean. It is expensive, but you are getting 100% ground vanilla which is incredible added to baking, jams and desserts. Don’t waste your money on this product which is mostly cheap filler.

This stuff is amazing!!Best vanilla out there, nothing compares to it, might seem pricy to some but really isnt and doesnt compare to the liquid kind( its a think paste) and obviously way better than artificial ones. Makes baking and pancakes taste beyond amazing!!!!

The best vanilla I've ever tasted.
I originally bought it, even though it was expensive, because it was the only one I found in a glass jar. That means a lot to me. But after tasting the vanilla paste I fell in love with it. I never ever want to run out. I now use vanilla alot more. I even put in my glass of milk and ad a little honey. Mmmmmm I love it.
