Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels great I can’t feel this at all when I’m wearing it which has been hard to achieve with suction menstrual cups. I have a heavy flow with a very low cervix and a short vaginal passage (TMI?) and this product mostly works when others haven’t. I still have to wear my period panties on my heavy days as it fills up too quickly and will dump on me if I sneeze or something. So not perfect. But the fact that I can also be intimate without a period mess on my hands and it feels so invisible all the time makes it a winner IMO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer for people with periods I've tried menstrual cups before and found them very painful. After getting many ads for Nixit, I watched a few YouTube videos about this product, and it seemed like this menstrual disk might be a better fit for me. 100% the right decision, this thing is awesome and truly a game changer. There's a learning curve for inserting and removing, but honestly once you've done it once or twice you can get the hang of it. If you've tried cups and not had good luck, this might be worth a shot for you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Excellent product! After trying multiple cups, my sister bought me the nixit. I was skeptical at first because I could never insert the cups properly and found the suction feeling extremely uncomfortable. I had no problem inserting the nixit and while the removal is still a little messy for me, had no issues with that either. Once it's inserted you can't feel it at all. I work in a job where I am very active and don't always have access to washroom, so the nixit has been a perfect solution. I do have a lighter period, so I can't say how well it would work with a heavy flow, but have had no issues with leaking. If you've tried cups with no success, I would 100% recommend the nixit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! I've tried two different cup brands and found them uncomfortable after a while and could get VERY messy. I was always too anxious to use them. I found Nixit to be very comfortable and easy to use, especially in the removal. No mess and no issues with suction. I highly recommend this product

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some luck, but huge hassle I got this as a replacement for my DivaCup, which I’ve used for the past decade but has been leaking on me more and more. The cons: The learning curve is significant. It’s really, really hard for me to get the Nixit in the right place. I found the only way to do it is to take my pants entirely off and squat leaning against the wall- not ideal for public settings. I also find my cervix is sensitive, and the nixit hits it upon insertion and removal, so it is quite uncomfortable. Once in place, it’s not noticeable. If I feel it, it’s because it’s not in place. It’s also messy. Really messy! Like someone might think you murdered someone if they came in as you were emptying it. They say ‘keep the cup level as you remove it’ but the shape of the cup and the shape of most vaginas while seated on a toilet don’t really allow for a level removal, so it just sort of explodes blood all over your hand. When going to the bathroom, it sort of dislodges and self empties, which is kind of a cool feature even if it’s not supposed to happen, and then I need to reposition it again. The Pros: Once I figured out the best way to insert, it has not leaked on me. (Most of the time. See above.) It lasts 12 hours easily. Um… the box is pretty?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t feel it! This cup is amazing! You can’t feel it and can really go 12hrs on your not so heavy days, 5hrs top on your 1st and second...everyone is different. I always found the other cups uncomfortable and hard, this one is so soft and doesn’t slide down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A worthwhile investment This cup works very well and you really can't feel it at all. As with the other reviewers it takes a couple of tries to get it properly positioned, and should be very easy for those already familiar with inserting a diaphragm or a contraceptive ring. Definitely would recommend this to those who find the suction of traditional cups unpleasant and/or find the stem irritating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the learning curve!!! Most comfortable cycle ever. No leaks, comfortable, leaves me feeling fresh for my whole period. I love my nixit. I was using softdisc disposables for a while but wanted something more eco friendly. Nixit is similar to softdisc in shape but the edge is less firm and more flexible. Because of this, during my first cycle with nixit, insertion and removal was frustrating. I found myself guessing whether I was putting it in right, and it seemed hard to get a good grip when removing. But on the second cycle, something just clicked. after getting the hang of it, It’s so easy now. Some tips: inserting it is made easier if I sit right on the edge of the toilet seatand lift myself up on my tiptoes just barely off the seat. pinch the sides of the cup and slide it back into place, hook the edge up behind the pvbic bone, and then stand up to check the placement with your finger still inside. If placement is off you’ll be able to feel it slip down when standing. If so, just squat down again and push that front side back and up behind the bone. When it’s inside, The cup’s sides spring outwards to fit your shape but I’ll sometimes gently spread the sides of the cup out to make sure it’s in place right with the opening laying horizontally. Removing it is easy, reach in and hook your finger under the lip of the cup, and relax without bearing down. Sounds weird but if you’re relaxing the right muscles it should feel like you’re getting ready to urinate. This makes it easier to grab because things loosen up in there. (You might even urinate a little, but that’s okay!) Then once I get a good grip I gently bear down (not hard! That somehow sucks it back up!) which helps the removal process. Doing this in the shower with your foot on the edge of the tub or a shower step stool is the way to go! Ps: compared to disposables, nixit is a lot less noticeable for my partner during ~intimacy~ …it’s softer and less rigid of a material so it’s comfy for both of us

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor choice I’m an experienced menstrual cup user and advocate and wanted to try this for a few reasons (it’s made in Canada!, it’s supposed to be super soft and comfortable). Well getting this thing is nearly impossible, uncomfortable and downright awful. The sheer size of the disc is also highly unnecessary. Awful purchase, and if you’re new to menstrual cups (why they call this a cup when it’s a disc is also confusing) don’t start with this one, it will just leave you frustrated!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from There’s a learning curve Extremely happy with the order experience from Well. Great price, quick delivery, item exactly as described. As for the product itself, there’s a learning curve. It took me several tries and leaks to get the fit right. Once it was in properly, I had 12 hours with no leaks on a heavy period. It was great. The removal process however was messy and discouraging, but I’ve heard from friends and read online that it gets much easier. I’d recommend it to a friend with a huge disclaimer though that the first period can be a lot of trial and error and not a great experience overall. By the end of my first period using nixit I was more comfortable with it and it was great for wearing on my run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer I was interested to try a menstrual disk after I saw a review from someone saying that they experienced no leaks with a nixit disk. I've always experienced leaking with cups and tampons, and need a serious second line of defense because of it. I'm on my first cycle with a nixit, but I'm very surprised by it - day one I thought I didn't actually have my period (until I removed the disk) because I had absolutely no leaks all day. Definitely a learning curve with insertion and removal, but otherwise I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Option Overall I was very happy with the Nixit cup. I used a Diva cup for 12+ years and I find the Nixt easier to insert and remove (no suction!), I can wear the Nixit much longer on heavier days than the Diva. I don't have to empty it at work which is a huge plus because I would often use tampons on day 1 during my work day since I didn't prefer emptying the Diva at work. Just like with any other menstrual cup/disk, it is very hands on, and I do find removal somewhat messier than a Diva cup. I've used it for 3 cycles now and I have not had a single leak (I think the self-emptying nature of the design that occurs when you go to the bathroom helps with this). I took one star off because they claim that you can use it for mess-free period intercourse and that's ultimately why I bought it....NO! No you can't. Of course every body is different but it absolutely did not work for my husband and I. We tried a variety of positions, but none were pleasant. We laughed over how ridiculous it felt (it's so obviously THERE and felt worse for him than me), I took it out, and we carried on. I wanted to share my experience with that because I felt like there wasn't enough review of it's performance as a mess-free period intercourse product out there. Hopefully that's helpful to those who are interested in that aspect of the product. If you're looking for a great menstrual cup, I'd highly recommend the Nixit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Give it a chance! I was skeptical after using it my first period. I could feel it the whole time and felt like it made me have to urinate. I didn't think I'd be able to use it. I read something that said to use your thumb to push it in, instead of your finger, because it would angle it downwards where it is supposed to be. I tried that and haven't looked back since! I honestly forget I have my period now. I put it in in the morning and then take it out before bed to clean it and pop it back in. No fuss and no leaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with the product Best cup so far! I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a shot. It’s surprisingly not as big as it looks. I used it for 5 days while camping at a festival and had zero issues! I usually have a large flow and I had minimal leaks. The key is to push it all the way back and then push the front up while it’s in, if you can, do it all the way around so it forms a seal. Auto dump before you pull it out to make less of a mess. All in all i was extremely satisfied! It’s so comfortable too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work, hard to use I really wanted this to work, but it doesn't, at least not for me. It could be because I am a small, petite person. I found it time-consuming to insert, not because it won't go in, but because it takes a while to gently push it up and make sure it's tucked in to the right place. I found it uncomfortable to have to put my finger that far up inside and then try to maneuver it in order to get the cup into place. I found it didn't stay in place either. The slightest bearing down, and it would slip out from behind the bone and would begin leaking. Then there was the whole process of taking it out. Getting it down was easy through bearing down, but you have to squeeze the rim to actually remove it, and it was messy. I probably would have put up with all this if it actually worked while it was in, but I was unimpressed with how easily it dislodged and began leaking. I threw it out and it ended up being a waste of money for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great for me I’ve tried this for 3 cycles. It doesn’t work for me. I’ve watch the videos multiple times on proper insertion and it just doesn’t work. I am leaking a ton. I can’t trust it at all. I’ve never had any leaking with my cup. I decided to try this since the reviews were decent and it was on sale.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I really wanted this to work! I really wanted this disc to work. I used the Diva cu previously, but after two kids it wasn't working anymore so I decided to try the disc. It was so easy and comfortable to put in and wear around but I can't get it to stop leaking. It works for a couple of hours but if I move the wrong way the cup will empty which is really not ideal. I am going to try and use it for a couple more months and see if I can tweak the placement but so far nothing has worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product! I was nervous to change from tampons to Nixit, but wanted to try a reusable option to reduce waste and also save money. I have now used Nixit for three periods and am extremely happy with the product. I have a heavy period after getting an IUD, and I can leave Nixit in for my entire shift at work without having to worry about leaks. Very comfortable to wear (don't feel it). Can stay in for 12 hours so I wear overnight as well. It does take some getting used to for placement and emptying, but I think it is definitely worth the purchase. Highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Scary almost STUCK incident This was my first attempt using a menstrual cup or disc. Getting it in was a breeze. Too bad I didn’t realize that most other discs came with a pull string. Well let’s just say that I wish the nixit did and that I was frantically looking on Reddit for advice on how to get it out. The nixit is big and slippery, and it was very challenging to get a good grip on it for removal even when bearing down hard. I’m in my 30s with 2 kids - it wasn’t out of squeamishness or nerves. I’m sure this is something that would get better with practice, quickly too. It wouldn’t be fair to dock too many stars. However, I must stress the importance of a pull tab to any other beginners out there reading this. I bought a diva disc the same day after this happened and found it much more comfortable to use. Attached picture for comparison because I was actually pretty surprised in the size variation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than any cup I've tried! I am so happy with this purchase! I was looking for a natural alternative to generic tampons, but the organic ones are just so expensive and not as comfortable to insert. For months I had tried a couple of different menstrual cups but they were really bad experiences - leaks, discomfort, really hard to get in the right spot. I decided to give the Nixit a try primarily because it's suction-free and I truly hated the suction aspect of the cups. Well, I'm really glad I did because it took almost no getting used to and it works like a charm. It's comfortable, easy to insert, and really does hold a lot. I find it very messy to remove but I just do it in the shower and that works for me because it doesn't require emptying very often. The material is very safe and comfortable and I also love that it produces so much less garbage. I'm so happy with this purchase. Honestly life changing!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way too big if you have a lower cervix position Purchased with high hopes. It doesn’t even fully fit inside me and is extremely uncomfortable. Tried to contact the company but they won’t offer any refund since it was purchased from well.ca so I would say buyer beware before purchasing here. I have used cups before but this was NOT a match. It says one size fits all. It definitely is not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me This product doesn't work for me. I dont know how many times you can insert something "differently "and it not work. I've reached out to the company as well and they didn't give me much to go on. I'd love for it to work but it doesn't. I'll probably go back to the diva cup. Sucks I spent $50 on something that didn't work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work after kids I’ve used a diva cup for years but wanted to switch to something without suction after having prolapse issues postpartum. This just will not stay in place, I’ve tried it so many times but it is totally useless and a waste of money if you struggle with prolapse or weakened pelvic floor or maybe just not a teenager anymore????

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I leveled up! I've had it for about a year now and I love it. I made the switch from divacup because I was looking for something I could forget was there. There is a slight learning curve if it's your first disc like there is using a cup for the first time. I boil the disc once every 1 to 2 months and it shows no signs of wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! Finally found my go-to LEAK-FREE menstrual product! I will start by saying I have a heavy flow and a tilted, bicornate uterus, and my cervix is considered high; I can barely reach it with my middle finger, and my hands are an average size. For reference, I would change a super tampon every hour; or change my menstrual cup that supposedly holds up to 40ml every 1.5-2 hrs. For this reason, I also wore a super pad in case the tampon or menstrual cup overflowed and leaked...and they almost always did. I always slept with a towel under me at night. I have been searching for something like Nixit for over a decade. I tried 6 different menstrual cups, all different capacities and firmness. However, the bigger, firmer cups put too much pressure on my bladder and I often had a UTI as a result of not being able to fully empty my bladder. The Nixit is unbelievably amazing, I wish I had found it sooner, and I want to tell everyone about it. I watched countless videos before purchasing it. Inserting it was much easier than any menstrual cup I have ever had and once inserted, I can't feel it at all; no issues peeing. The most astonishing part is that I have not leaked once since I bought it a few months ago, not even a drop! I can sleep without a towel at night. I am able to go a full 8-12 hours without removing it because of the autodump feature. I bare down while on the toilet, it empties, I wipe and carry on with my day. I could probably go longer but I remove it to clean it. My only challenge is the removal as I have a high cervix, but I remind myself to breathe deeply, bare down a little until my finger can hook the edge of the Nixit, then I pull it out. If you're on the fence, it's honestly worth a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best investment! I have had my Nixit cup for almost a year. Not only is it a money saver but also a great time saver. Once you get used to the cup you basically go all day without any issues. I have and IUD so unfortunately the Diva cup (also great) was not an option as it can dislodge the IUD due to the suction.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the right fit for me I’m used to the Diva Cup but I thought maybe I should give the Nixit a try because of a recommendation from a friend and it just literally didn’t fit for me. I found the way it sit for me didn’t work and was quite uncomfortable. I must say, I do prefer the quality and material over the Diva Cup.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks I wanted to like this,, but it doesn’t work! I know its in right I don’t feel it and its in place when i take it out. It leaks so much that i still fill a large pad with in two hours of wearing it. No way if get 12 hours.. So whats the point of wearing it if i need to wear a full on pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amaze! Feel cheated that I didn’t have this 20 years ago! I would recommend to everyone! I wish I had all of my adult life as it makes having a period a nonissue. I almost forget after the 2nd day of my period and have to remind myself to rinse 2x a day. I prefer to take out in shower for one of the times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade over a cup So glad I decided to switch to this instead of the cup that I was using before. The nixit was very comfortable and I couldn't feel it at all. The fact that it can empty without taking it out is amazing for my 14 hour shifts at work.
