Superior histamine-inhibitor
I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which means that even a few minutes in the sun, a shower that is a touch too hot, my own hot flashes from peri-menopause, and an arm’s length of foods and environmental allergens can cause my body to unleash histamine (and other chemicals) on a level that is completely inappropriate and affect my body from head to toe. Flushing, itching and weakness are just a few things of many I feel as a result. Normal H1 and H2 antihistamines do nothing for me and Benadryl is a joke. I read about quercetin and decided to try it. It is hands-down the best product for allergies, even the weird “allergy” I suffer from. I no longer lay awake all night scratching at my skin. Even mosquito bites, which would typically cause horrible reactions, barely bother me anymore. I haven’t had a single flushing episode since taking quercetin religiously and that is huge. I’m not really dedicated to a certain brand but I do typically choose a brand that combines quercetin with bromelain for better absorption. Trust me, if quercetin can work on my immune system-driven “allergies”, I really believe it will work on typical allergies. Plus, it’s a great anti-oxidant.
