Helps to reduce the risk of neural tube defects when taken daily at least three months prior to becoming pregnant and during early pregnancy. Helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth; energy metabolism and tissue formation; and with immune function. Helps pregnant women meet the recommended intake for iron, when taken in conjunction with a healthy diet. Vitamin D intake, when combined with sufficient calcium, a healthy diet, and regular exercise, may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.
Recommended Dosage: (oral) adult females (19 years and older) only: Take 1 capsule 3 times per day.400 mcg of folate per day is adequate for most women (to reduce the risk of neural tube defects). Consult a health care practitioner to determine if you would benefit from additional folate before taking this product. Take with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.
Cautions: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder or if you are taking blood thinners. Some people may experience constipation, diarrhea and/or vomiting. Stop use if hypersensitivity occurs.
