Based on past experinece, I believe that this razor will perfornm just as well. Yes I would recommed the razor but get a travel case in for the price.
The razor looks great and futuristic. I have been using Philips electric shavers since age of 19 I am now 71. They have lasted me an average of approximately 20 years each and never changed the shaving heads. The only draw back with this razor is that it has no travel case and no brush to clean the razor. Small stuff but I received a travel case for all my previous razors. I think this is a mistake on Philips part lack of marketing skills on somebody.
I have not used the razor yet because I am still using one of my older models which is still working fine.

Worst Philips Shaver ever
I've always used Philips shavers. I bought the s5100 thinking it will be a good replacement for my senso 2d shaver. But boy was I wrong.
In less than 6 months, the s5100 started acting up. I only shave once a week or so, and I fully charge the shaver day before I use it.
But last few weeks, every time I use it, after 10 min of shaving, the battery dies. And the shaver doesn't even lift and cut my beard properly.
It's a very weak shaver... My senso 2d one I bought in 2013 is still working 10x better than this one.
I'm really disappointed by this shaver and I would advise others to stay away from the Philips 5000 series.

Worst Phillips shaver of the 6 I have owned over 40 years
I have used rotary shavers for 40 years. This model (S5370) is by far the worst. It takes me twice as long to complete a shave as with my older Phillips that I keep in the car, and it's blades are 2 years old! As for design, why in the world did they have to provide a separate trimmer that you need to install ever time you want to use it. Also, the power button is so sensitive that I accidentally turn off the shaver at least twice ever time I shave. Don't get me started on the cleaning "bath" reservoir they expect you to use, just a waste of space.

Fast close shave easy cleanup
I have used Philips shavers for over 50 years and prefer rotary shavers over foil.
My most previous Philips shaver was an RQ1250 which is the worst Philips shaver I have ever owned. It was noisy would not shave close and clogged easily. And this was after I installed the new redesigned heads. I thought I might have to go to another brand but bought the S5320 and what a difference! S5320 gives a fast close shave and is much quieter than the RQ1250.
I am now back to being a very satisfied Philips shaver user.

Great Shaver
i just bought this shaver today to replace a series 3000 which was poor quality made in China that gave a bad shave. I was happy to see that this series 5000 is still made in Holland and of better quality. I just finished trying it for the first time after having it charged up and found that it gives you a much better and smoother shave then the cheaper 3000 series shaver. I would recommend this series 5000 shaver over any of the other ones.

Quick, long lasting charge.
I truly find this the best electric razor I have ever owned.
I feel that it does everything I need a razor to do for me.
The trimmer head is easy to switch on or aff the razor body and is great for trimming nose hair as well as any hair grown down around my ears. The charge lasts a good long time and recharges very quickly and is ready whenever and wherever I need it. I am completely satisfied with this razor! A great product I would recommend to anyone.

Pretty fun thing to use. Cuts shaving time to half or less.No cuts or any hurt of any king. easy to clean up the nape of the neck are.
I replaced my older PHILISHAVE with this product. I must say it is a great design and adding washing has really made it user friendly.
The shaves are smooth in half the time of a conventional shave. No mess. Fits in the travel bag easily. Battery is good for at least a week of shaves or more.
Overall, I give it a ***** rating.
