Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works, but constantly on back order (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This product works great for minor infections and irritations. I love that it's an over the counter product that I don't have to trouble a walk in clinic or hospital to get a prescription for a minor issue. The trouble is that this product constantly seems to be unavailable, out of stock, and on back order for to a "manufacturer shortage". It's been this way for at least a couple of years. Every time I need it, I can't find it anywhere, and the stores tell me it's been on order for weeks. It's frustrating. If a product is back ordered, that's typically a clue to make more. I'm currently at a walk in clinic, spending hours on end to wait for a doctor because every local store is singing that familiar tune: "on back order; out of stock." Frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product, easy to get at a pharmacy. Went to see a doctor for a mild eye infection and he recommended Polysporin Pink Eye. It's important to follow the dosage instructions. This product really works

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product had worked well in the past I've used Polysporin for pinkeye in the past with wonderful results. This time it doesn't seem to be working. Wednesday I started noticing that my eyes felt as they had sand in them. Thursday i also had the redness and sticky yellowish discharge so I knew it was time to buy Polysporin. It's now Sunday and while the symptoms have diminished a little I'm just not sure if it's the right product for me. My eyes sting each time I use it (I don't remember that from previous uses. Christmas is only a few days away and I want to be able to wear my contacts! Maybe time to see the doctor?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not for sensitive eyes! was told by a pharmacist that this was a great product for eye infections, too bad I had a reaction to it that made my eye problem worse :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Out of Stock - backorder for years Have only been able to purchase once - worked ok...but stores are not able to keep it in stock. I have given up trying to find it in stores and go directly to walk-in clinic for a prescription. Prescription works faster!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from effective and quick relief! I recently had a bout of pink eye, and let me tell you, POLYSPORIN® Eye & Ear Drops came to the rescue! These drops are a game-changer for anyone dealing with external eye infections. The sterile formula gave me confidence that I was treating my pink eye effectively. I love how easy they are to apply, and they provided quick relief. The soothing sensation kicked in almost immediately, and within a few days of consistent use, my symptoms started to clear up. The fact that they're also designed for external ear infections is a double win – talk about versatility! I appreciated the peace of mind that comes with knowing I'm using a reputable brand for such a sensitive area. POLYSPORIN® Eye & Ear Drops are now a staple in my medicine cabinet, ready to tackle any eye or ear infection that comes my way. Highly recommend for effective and quick relief!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immediate relief, why is it no longer available?? I used these eye drops after I had a harsh, very painful burning in my eye suddenly in the morning. After complaining to my husband he mentioned it sounded like i had gotten pink eye. I went to the pharmacy to get the drops and after the first application had immediate relief. I was so thankful that I was able to get the drops. I wonder why this product was pulled from the shelves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work I began using this product when I had the feeling of sandpaper under my eyelid. I followed the instructions. My eye is actually worse now than it was before I started the treatment. Not sure what to do now. I guess I need to go see the doctor and get a better antibiotic.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product did not work for my daughter My 1 year old son was given a prescription for pink eye ointment. So I bought the drops to use on my daughter who is 4 years old and myself in case we had pink eye and didn't know it yet. We were trying to prevent, but on the third dose my daughters eyes began to burn and slowly swelled shut out of nowhere. My husband and I gave her Benadryl and iced her eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked perfectly I had bought a bottle 2 weeks ago because I thought my daughter had pink eye but it was not. The bottle stayed sealed. Yesterday evening, my eye started feeling bizarre, I looked closely in the mirror and a part of the white of my eye looked swollen and a bit yellowish. After a quick Google search, I found out it was bacterial conjunctivitis. Used drops right away. After the second dose, my eye almost looked completely cleared up! In my case, I conclded it was most likely a bacterial conjunctivitis.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The eye drops do work very well, once you can access them. The shrink wrapping on the bottle is just evil. After ten minutes of patient tinkering with both scissors and a sharp knife, I still haven't succeeded in removing all of the shrink wrapping, but I have stabbed myself in the finger, drawing blood.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Application of drops stings quite badly Fellow nurses have recommended these drops to aid in speeding up the process of the course of pink eye while providing relief of the symptoms. Unfortunately, I have been using these drops for about two days now and they sting very badly and do not provide me with relief. Unsure how long these drops take to start to clear up the infection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burning My eyes are extremely red after a bout of shingles...the pharmacy suggested the polysporn eye drops. They were way worse after the burning pain...I don't recommend this product if your eyes are sensitive and they cost me $30....wasted

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It burns My daughter cried so much when I gave her these eye drops, I decided to try them out. No wonder she's been freaking out, it burns, stings and feels gritty in your eye!!!! I do NOT recommend for children or adults.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stings when using Made eye more uncomfortable, stings and made eye feel like being scratched. Bring back.ointment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like to keep it on hand for any eye soreness Have kept this product in the medicine cabinet since Dr. recommended it many years ago - probably about 20 years and we use it seldom but nice to have when needed. If you have trouble finding it on the shelves ask the pharmacist since we discovered that some drug stores in our city keep it behind the counter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stinging and Burning like other reviews I would not recommend this to anyone until the formula has changed. I noticed I had pink eye on a Monday night, so the next day I went to the drugstore and bought the Polysporin for Pink Eye. From the first time I used it I experienced a burning/stinging sensation, and every time afterwards. This seems to be a common complaint in other reviews. I'm still surprised that the formula has not changed (now late Feb 2016). The pink eye had spread from one eye to other (no surprise there), but for some reason the burning and discomfort seems to be worse in my other eye. I'm also having burning around the skin surrounding my eye. I didn't finish reading the other comments, but I did not see anyone else that had this experience. It's been so uncomfortable for me the past 2 days that I went online to find some other home remedies for pink eye and found this helpful tip for anyone else experiencing the burning sensation. Use baby shampoo to flush your eyes. It contains a numbing agent that will help. My pink eye has cleared up in the first eye and showing signs of clearing in the second, but I'm now on the 4th day (start of 1 eye to the other). If it's not cleared up by tomorrow, I'm heading to a Walk-In for the prescribed version. I don't recall ever getting pink eye before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soothing I was surprised to read the reviews after two days of using the product I disagree with the negative ones I found it to be soothing and it seems to be helping it's only 2 days so we'll see but so far so good:))

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not relieve symptoms I ended up with a case of bacterial conjunctivitis and tried the pink Eye drops for 3 days with no benefits at all. Don't waste your time and get the real antibiotics. I was better in 2 days and almost clear in 3.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product I bought this last week for pink eye and it burned like hell and seemed to make my eye worse
Date published: 2021-11-22
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as ointment I don't like these drops... They actually kind of hurt when you use them and they don't seem to offer the same soothing feel as the ointment (no longer available.) I have no clue why the company discontinued selling the ointment OTC but it's too bad. I will have to get a prescription the next time I see my doctor, I guess.
