Description
Sterile antibiotic treatment for external infections of the eye/ear, such as conjunctivitis, or “pink eye”. For eye infections, apply 1 – 2 POLYSPORIN® EYE & EAR DROPS in the affected eye 4 time a day, for 7 – 10 days. Eye drops are suitable for all ages. For ear infections, apply 1 – 2 POLYSPORIN® EYE & EAR DROPS in the affected ear 4 times a day for 5 – 7 days.

Polysporin Eye & Ear Drops kill the bacteria causing the infection and help relieve redness and itchiness associated with bacterial pink eye. Polysporin Eye & Ear Drops can also be used to treat swimmer's ear.

Dosage: 1-2 drops in the infected eye or ear 4 times a day.

Cautions: If irritation occurs, or in case of serious infection, or if infection has not started to clear in 2 days, discontinue use and consult a doctor.  Consult a doctor before use if the cause of the pink eye is unclear, or if there is a marked sensation of something in the eye, sensitivity to light, continuous abundant discharge, pain in the eye, impaired vision, severe hearing loss, or fever.

Eye drops suitable for all ages. For ear infections, a doctor should be consulted before treating children under 6.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not as effective as ointment The drops are not as effective or soothing as ointment and they sting when applied. The original polysporin eye ointment was an excellent and effective product. Why has it been discontinued? Please consider making this available to the public again. I will be going to the doctor for a prescription for eye ointment. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy I bought this yesterday and started using it, my eyes became more irritated, I assumed the pink eye was just getting worse. After 24 hrs and not only no relief but even worse symptoms I looked up reviews for the product and immediately stopped using these drops! I used some regular clear eye drops and I’m already feeling better then I have in the last 24 hrs using these drops. I do not recommend

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Allergic I used this on my son with no problems other than typical symptoms of it being slightly itchy. Myself well thats another story. It was ok the first day. The second day made me itchy and started to burn my eyes and make them feel like sand was inside, then the 3rd day, my body broke out in hives. 12 hrs later I still have hives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So fast! My daughter had swollen red eye lids, and yellow discharge. This helped after just 1 dose! And I didn’t have to wait for hours at the walk-in clinic. She had a bacterial infection, vs a viral infection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made eye wose I purchased this as it contains the same medical ingredient in the prescription eye drops hoping to get some relief . Drops burned when used and woke up the next morning with my eye red swollen and in more discomfort that before . I would not recommend. Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product does not work Years ago this product worked great. Now it is way to overpriced and does not work. Not sure if you changed the product but a huge waste of money. I do not recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shortage of products always! Quality is good, but nowhere can people find these products. There is always shortage of this eyedrop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get as far away from these drops as you can! I had a mild pink eye and went to the pharmacy and was given these. These drops burned my eye so bad I had to stop using it after 2 days and I regret using them so much! My pink eye eventually transferred to the other eye which healed all on its own within a couple of days, but the one eye I used these drops in is still swelling up after 10 days! What a nightmare! I highly recommend you do nothing before considering these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ALWAYS OUT OF STOCK!!! Whats the point of advertising it? I seem to spend half my life running all over town in search of these drops for Jenny my girlfriend. THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT OF STIOCK. Great when we can buy it, but usually it would be easier to get an interview with the Pope than trying to lay our hands on a bottle, dring which time, Jenny goes back to pink eye. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't think I can continue using this I bought this yesterday and have used it 4 times so far. Each time it burns and itches terribly for at least an hour after. The reaction to the drops is worse than the pink eye!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Currently using product... Just bought this over the counter product... I have put in 2 drops in each eye, 5-10 minutes in between the 1st and 2nd drops. I feel coolness when the drops go in, but after 5 minutes, they get all itchy burny I looked at the ingredients...why is there alcohol and propylene glycol in the drops? Is that why people are experiencing burning and dryness???

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burning my eyes! I have pink eye and chose to use Polysporin Eye Drops. I have used them for about a day and a half now and my eyes have gotten progressively worse - now they are burning fiercely, are bright red and the drops hasn't stopped the eye infection yet, only slightly improved. I will call your 1-800 number as indicated below.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works, but causes stinging/itching I'm using this product for the second time, because unfortunately I ended up with pink eye in both eyes (at separate times). The product worked, but became uncomfortable to use around day 3. The discomfort began about 5 minutes after each dose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product If I could give this 0 stars I would. This is a horrible product. My eyes immediately started burning and they went extremely red after using. I rinsed out the product with an eye rinser. This product should not be on the shelves.

I don't care about the sting as long as it works.. it saved me a trip to the doctor. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Perfectly My elderly mother is a nursing home. A few weeks ago I was called that she had an eye infection and I needed to take her to the doctor. It was a Saturday and nothing was open so I picked up Pink Eye Polysporin and it healed her eyes in a few days. It is amazing. No trip to the doctor was needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good luck finding this product! We used to keep this product on hand in case of minor eye irritations and injury, especially at the cottage. We have been unable to find this product in Simcoe County and York Region for over a year. Would love to know the real story on this constant shortage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good product if they ever get it back on shelves Have been searching for these eye drops since Oct. 2013 in the Orillia, Barrie Ontario area. Found out before Christmas 2013 from the local pharmacies this product has been on back order from manufacturer. It is the first week of February and still non to be found even online! Nice manufacturer?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We always keep this on hand My daughter brought home pink eye from school and 3 out of my family of 5 got it bad. Used a cheaper pink eye drop with little to no signs of anyone getting better. Switched to the polysporin pink eye drops and noticed improvements quite quickly! Now, we just keep this on hand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from buring eyes and skin around....!!!! you buy medication to help the problem and it gets worse!!! what's even better is that the pharmacist's don't tell you this in advance...so when you call them, and they don't call you back, yuo call them back, and all they say is...u need to see a specialist. you tell them to reimburse you for your eyes are worse than before...and they keep saying they can't help you. take this stuff off the shelves!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly quick results. One morning I woke up with pink eye, by day 3 I felt something was required to clear it up. Within 2 days of using this product my eye returned to normal. The pharmacist recommended it and it saved me a trip to my doctor. Highly recommend this product. Thank you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only for bacteria infection This product may only work if someone has conjunctivitis caused by a bacteria. If one has viral conjunctivitis, it's kinda' like having a cold in your eye and you have to wait it out. I'd say if after a few days, like with a cold, your eye doesn't get better, see a doctor. Otherwise, I'm not sure eye drops work unless it's caused by a bacteria.
