Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch uses hydrocolloid technology to effectively treat the cold sore. The patch forms a protective barrier that contains the virus and enables fast effective healing. Instantly hides, actively heals.
Directions for Use: Apply POLYSPORIN Cold Sore Healing Patch at first sign of an outbreak. When the patch starts to detach from the skin, remove it and replace it with a new one until cold sore is healed. Patches should be used 24 hours a day. On average, the patch will stay on for approximately 8 hours. You do not need to remove the patch every 8 hours, only when it begins to detach.
How to Apply:
CAUTIONS: Do not use inside the mouth, on mucous tissue or to treat genital herpes. Consult your pharmacist or doctor if the cold sore becomes severe and/or an outbreak lasts unusually long.

How to Apply:
- Wash hands. Ensure skin is clean and dry. Do not use in combination with cream as the patch may no longer stick to the lesion to provide full treatment benefits.
- Remove applicator from wrapper and hold ends using both hands.
- Gently pull each end of applicator, following the arrows, until adhesive side is half-exposed. Take care not to touch the adhesive side of the patch.
- Gently press the half-exposed part of the patch with a finger to firmly place over the cold sore.
- Slowly pull end of applicator down and away from the skin in a smooth rolling motion until the patch slips from the applicator. Make-up or lipstick can be applied over the patch. Wash your hands after application.

Worth the price
I have been using these since they came out. They work great. Unfortunately for me I get them on my nose so before these came around I would have these embarrassing open sores on my nose and trying to cover them up was painful and obvious with these patches it helps. It's not nearly as noticable. Thanks for the amazing product.

This product is amazing.
I woke up December 23 like any other day, around 10 am I felt the tingle of a cold sore coming on. I rushed to get my prescription and knew I'd have to wait until 5 to get to my home to try the polysporin cold sore patches. I applied my first one at 5 pm that day, and today December 26 at 12:00 noon I can say my cold sore is gone and no one but myself even new I had a cold sore. These patches are amazing I wish I had them ever since I got my first cold sore. Highly recommend.

best cold sore product ever!
I will never use anything else again. This product not only eliminates pain and swelling but completely hides the cold sore. The only issue I have had is that they are a bit big - I cut them in half before applying so they rest only on my lip. They stay in place while eating, drinking and sleeping. Highly recommended.

These are a lifesaver for cold sores!
I have upwards of 6-7 cold sores a year. Prior to using these healing patches, my cold sores would swell, spread and be very painful. These patches have been an awesome solution for me and I am a faithful user. I carry them at all times. I am aware that they are expensive but cheaper options are no where near the quality or as successful at healing as Polysporin healing patches. Cold sores would last close to 2 weeks, they now last a few days, quicker if I catch it earlier. I recommend to anyone who suffers from cold sores try these, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. A helpful hint is to stick the side where the paper is stickiest down first.
I returned home today empty handed from trying to purchase some at 5 different stores that I normally purchase these patches from and was told that they have been discontinued- please say this isn’t so!! They have been a game changer for my cold sore management and I’m very worried about what I will do if that’s correct.

Works great
I've been using this product for my last 2 cold sores and it has worked really great. My cold sores are healing substantially faster than they do on their own or with a product like abreva. They stay contained and do not grow past the barrier of the patch. While I think it's a great product, it is pricey and the patches never last 8 hours for me, but that's likely because of the area where my cold sores are. I usually use 7 patches a day because they peel off due to stretching of the skin when eating, drinking and laughing. My only question is can a patch be used on an area like the corner of your lips where it may lightly come in contact with the inside of your mouth, but only slightly? Overall, great product that works wonders for me.

Very good, if you work in retail I would recommend
This is the first time I’ve ever used the healing patch and I find it helps a lot. Getting a cold sore is never fun and makes everyone insecure, I work in retail and I get cold sores 1 to 2 times a year due to stress. The patch helps hide it a little but not completely and definitely makes it look less disgusting, helps it heal and sooths the pain. I am very pleased with this product. I also take medication for cold sores which also helps speed up the healing process!

Very difficult to use
I bought this product as I have tried almost everything over the counter that you can buy. I found these patches to be difficult to use, and went through 4 before finally getting one that didn’t fold over onto itself, which makes it unusable. I did not find any difference in the size or severity of my cold sore by using this product, and it did not cut down on healing time at all. Perhaps it would be different if using it before the coldsore appears on the skins surface, but as someone who used it after the coldsore was visible, I did not find this product helpful.

Love love love these patches!!
I have suffered from these cursed sores since I was a kid. I have used EVERY cream, pill and method a 27 year old can try. But until I tried these patches I had to suffer for weeks trying to cover it up or distract from it.
These patches are great, especially if you catch it very early on. It suffocates the sore before it can even really start. Plus it helps stop that crusty scab that forms.
The patches are a bit big so I cut them in half just so it covers the sore. If you get it on the tiny hairs on your lip it can hurt to take it off. Cutting them down helps with that plus helps the pack last longer. Which is great because they are a tad pricey.
I have one right now (sigh) but I got it under control with my patches :)

An absolute waste of money. It looks like a piece of tape stuck to your lip, with puss underneath, nothing like the commercial. Don't buy this!!!
it doesn't do anything to the cold sore. Just an irritating piece of plastic.

I sometimes love this product, other times I think I look better without
Typically when I have a cold sore I lather it with Abreva and don't leave my house for 5 days, but when I go out in public I wear a patch. Unfortunately my last outbreak happened in the middle of the work day so covering my face in white cream was not reallyan option. Fortunately I was relived to find out I had a fairly full package of Healing Patches in my bag *Angels Singing*. Unfortunately they gave me the biggest cold sore of my life! It spread to the size of my patch and even started oozing out the edges. I put the patch on at the very first tingle, before there was even a bump! I thought for sure I was in the clear having caught it so soon. So I don't think they are best to use at the inital outbreak of a cold sore. If i could go back in time I would have just applied some Abreva (which I did have in my bag) and tried to avoid people as much as possible. Abreva I do feel stops it from spreading larger and prevents it from getting worse. I think the patches are better during the healing stages,or the going out in public stages. With that being said though, it always falls off when I eat and drink and it looks awkward and gross so i end up taking it off anyway. And during the oozing stages, maybe 75% of the time it contains the ooze (which I love!) but sometimes its too much ooze, in which case the patches look gross.
In conclusion, I like the pacthes for concealing the cold sore. I absolutely don't think it prevents the initial outbreak from getting worse, I think it actually makes it worse.

Over Priced
I have used this product multiple times and to be honest it is a tiny bit overpriced for the amount of patches you get. I found one other name brand that works just a tiny bit better and you get over double the amount for less than half the price.

Hid my sore quite well
I liked this product. Was a bit scared the first time to remove the patch as I worried it would pull painfully on the sore. It wasn't bad - I wet it with warm water before removing. It did stay on through a meal but did not last as long as promised on the packaging. Make up hid it well. Easy to put on when directions followed. I would recommend this as my lip felt less ugly when I had it on and it prevented the sore from getting bigger, I felt.

Expensive, but worth every cent!
I decided to pick up part way through my healing process, so while I can't speak to idea effectiveness beginning to end, I cannot believe the results after only a few hours!
I've suffered with fever blisters since I was a baby, and thankfully only deal with them <1/year. Creams and topicals have never worked for me, so I wasn't totally sold on the patch, but with my graduation approaching, I was desperate.
Within minutes, the pain was gone, and within hours, all my swelling and redness was gone, too!
Application is a bit tricky, but another reviewer had great advice to apply the MORE STICKY SIDE first, and it worked perfectly my first time. By the time I got home from work for the day, it doesn't even look like there is still a sore there (although I'll be leaving it on for a few days to heal fully).

Works great!
First time user. Patch applies easily. Within couple hours, swelling reduced, less inflamed, no more pain. Does a very nice job of making the sore less noticeable. I definitely would recommend it!

Wow! I am sooo much more comfortable than I was without these! And while you can still see that I have a sore, it is not nearly as noticeable. Also, I have no pain at all. LOVE this product!

Do not use this on cold sores
This patch caused my lip to become so swollen I nearly had a heart attack when I saw myself. Stick to products like abreva that will help dry the cold sore out. Using this product is like constantly touching it and just making it bigger.

cold sore still visible
I can still see the cold sore even under this little patch, I wasted 5 of the patches today as they didn't go on properly; I have darker skin so I can still see the patch, be nice if the patches had some tint to it for people with darker skin as it's white (clear?, not even).. that's the only thing I don't like about it; but when I put it on the itching and the pain stopped right away. I feel so self-conscience about cold sores wish they'd find a cure already so we don't have to break out anymore, it came on today from stress ..

Hate cold sores..love this product.
Every winter I get a cold sore before I get a cold and it seems to last forever. This product makes it bearable so that I don't worry about people seeing this sore on my lip. It works by staying on and I am able to eat and drink without it coming off. They also seem to help in the healing because it is covered. Definitely will have these on hand.

Very unhappy with this product
Very unhappy with this product, very expensive, hard to put on, Once I finally got one one after going through 4 patches. I drank my coffee and it came right off. This is the 8th day of my cold sore this product was expensive and a huge waste of my time. Trying to apply then falls off Never again.

Some benefits
I’ve used this product successfully before, however with this current use my lip under the patch has swollen under the patch and has gotten discoloured. When it’s on the patch sticks okay for a while but does peel off with eating and drinking. I do not feel it’s speeding up the process, but does protect from potentially spreading (particularly like wearing while working or sleeping.) I do find that after I remove it the discomfort that was soothes increases immediately and it usually worse than it was prior to application.

Unbelievably fast
I use these every time I feel a cold sore coming, and most of the time it doesn't even have a chance to become visible. They're so thin that you can't even see them. In the event your cold sore does manage to break the surface, these patches act as a buffer and it's not as noticeable. I recommend these to anyone! Well worth every penny.

Makes sores worse
I have tried this product numerous times and every time the same thing happens. My sore gets bigger than ever. I left patch on for 2 days (changed 4 times) woke up this morning and my lip is swollen and now has 4 blisters on it. Never would reccomend this product unless you want to be stuck at home for weeks. Extremely disappointed.

Best Cold Sore Healing Product!!
Been using these for years! Tried other products but always came back to these. Expensive, but well worth it. Clears my cold sores in a few days. I do not use them 24 hours a day, as it is difficult to eat/drink with a patch on. But definitely when sleeping and when I can for a few hours during the day/evenings/weekends.

Awseome product
I have used these patches for years and love them. They not only heal them, but they protect them from other germs, accidental touching ( which hurts ) and spreading. The only thing I would like is different sizes in a case, because sometimes I’ll get a smaller outbreak and the patch is to big.

PLEASE DON'T DISCONTINUE
Just got the last 2 boxes of these that I could find after trying 3 different stores. The lady there said they had been discontinued and I was SO disappointed. This has been my go-to product for years as I don't get a big scab and I find my coldsore heals MUCH faster then using a topical.

Can't survive a cold sore without this
I don't know what I did before this patch. I was just looking to see the active ingredient because I am sure it numbs the pain. I think it really limits the spread more than anything, but I do use more than one every 8 hours. Worth it!! Better than any creme on the market.

Very happy
I have nothing but good things to say about the patch.
As soon as I put it on the pain goes away. I don't feel
it on my lip, I can eat and drink and it stays on for at
least 24 hours. The most important is it keeps the cold
sore at bay and within 3-4 days it is gone.

Works Fairly Well As Covering
I find the patches a bit difficult to get on due to their fairly large size and generally I find with the start of my cold sores being so small the size of the patch is just too big. I cut them in half as I also find if I try to use the entire patch it will curl up at the ends and that is slightly unsightly. I do find though that as soon as I feel the tingling of a cold sore starting if I can get a patch on it asap sometimes it will stop it right away and other times at least reduces the healing time.

The best
