Description
Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch uses hydrocolloid technology to effectively treat the cold sore. The patch forms a protective barrier that contains the virus and enables fast effective healing. Instantly hides, actively heals.

Directions for Use: Apply POLYSPORIN Cold Sore Healing Patch at first sign of an outbreak. When the patch starts to detach from the skin, remove it and replace it with a new one until cold sore is healed. Patches should be used 24 hours a day. On average, the patch will stay on for approximately 8 hours. You do not need to remove the patch every 8 hours, only when it begins to detach.

How to Apply:
  1. Wash hands. Ensure skin is clean and dry. Do not use in combination with cream as the patch may no longer stick to the lesion to provide full treatment benefits.
  2. Remove applicator from wrapper and hold ends using both hands.
  3. Gently pull each end of applicator, following the arrows, until adhesive side is half-exposed. Take care not to touch the adhesive side of the patch.
  4. Gently press the half-exposed part of the patch with a finger to firmly place over the cold sore.
  5. Slowly pull end of applicator down and away from the skin in a smooth rolling motion until the patch slips from the applicator. Make-up or lipstick can be applied over the patch. Wash your hands after application.
Removal: If the patch stays on, do not remove or change it. When the patch starts to detach, a new one should replace it. Remove the patch by stretching it along the skin (as opposed to pulling it away). Do not reuse patch to avoid infection of the wound and spreading of the virus.

CAUTIONS: Do not use inside the mouth, on mucous tissue or to treat genital herpes. Consult your pharmacist or doctor if the cold sore becomes severe and/or an outbreak lasts unusually long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Camouflaged Confidence Despite this product being pricing, I am immediately happy with the result so far. I JUST made the purchase and am pleased to see how well it covers the cold sore. I am confident going to festivities and work this week without worry. The product was sold out at the grocery and I am VERY grateful I waited to pick it up at the pharmacy. I could not imagine having to apply a cream 5 times a day, that's hardly discrete. Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good technology but patch is too large Love this product as it prevents contagion while also expediting the healing process significantly. My only issue with this product is that the patches are too large for my lips. If I apply the entire patch, either half of it is inside of my mouth, in which case it comes off due to the moisture, or half of it is applied to the skin around my mouth, in which case it doesn't stick properly because of the beard hairs in that area. The only way to address this is by taking the patch and cutting it in half using an exacto knife, leaving you with two semi-circular patches for every one that comes in the package. The issue with this approach is that the cutting process is tricky and often results in wrinkled or otherwise botched patches that are unusable. I hope Polysporin reads this and considers making smaller patches designed to be placed only on the lips directly, as the product itself is excellent. The semi circular design actually works well, with the flat edge facing in towards the mouth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic!! These seriously work!! Cuts the healing time down to days and actually does a pretty amazing job at hiding it. You can barely see them on and only need to change them after I eat as they start to fall off a bit then. HIGHLY recommend!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frequently having to reapply I am currently using this product and it does not stay on for 8hrs. It probably would stay on that long if u don't eat or drink. Only reason I would recommend it to others is because it does work but u have to apply it lots!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I couldn't be happier with this product My cold sores would usually last about 7 days or so. I am thrilled to be able to say my cold sore is healing just after 2 days. It didn't blister out or bubble which is painful. I am just thrilled with this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! I have had an allergy to citrus since I could remember. I have been on EVERY medication you could think of! From over the counter, prescriptions, and even homemade remedies. Mind you this product does not prevent them BUT it heals them in HALF the time!!! I feel more confident when I am wearing the polysporin cold sore patch. I'm not worries about touching it by accident and spreading it. It is amazing!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well This product has by far helped me the most out of all products I have tried, it stays on really well and you can instantly feel the cold sore healing! I wear it for days upon days at a time and it still stays on the same way it did when I first put it on. I always find that creams and stuff are so hard to keep on and you constantly have to keep reapplying. It's a huge waste of money. Thank you polysporin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product really helps I'm so glad POLYSPORIN invented this product. I just started a new job and have been fighting some virus, which is when the darn cold sore show up. I was able to put my first patch on about 4 hours after the tingly feeling and it's not gotten any bigger. It has head faster than any cold sore I've had before. The patch stops the tiggling feeling, so I even would forget I had one. The sore isn't ugly with the patch on (hardly notice it). Awesome product. Thanks so much, Sharron

Rated 5 out of 5 by from POLYSPORIN® COLD SORE HEALING PATCH Polysporin cold sore patches is something I would use when I have a cold sore and it covers it up so others really can't see how bad it is.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is terrible. i started to feel a cold sore coming so i right away got something for it, this is my second cold sore ever and I got the cream last time but wanted to try something else if it worked better? had it on overnight AND IT MADE MY WHOLE TOP LIP SWOLLEN. 2 little other cold sores are starting beside them and i am furious about it. Definitely do not recommend this product and it should be taken off the market. Very dissapointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great healing Before I used these I would hide from the world when I got a cold sore! I would feel awful and try anything to get out of school, work etc. It took me about a half a pack to actually get the application just right, and you do have to change the patch every 5 hours or so if out if out in public I find because you are talking, smiling, sipping coffee or whatever and the patches tend to dry and start to show creases, but it's the best thing I have found so far. Also I usually had a typical out-break lasting just over a week, and these, when applied immediately and if always on, cut my outbreak down by almost half. I apply as soon as i see a blister and keep one on always, I have avoided the weeping blister stage and it heals quite quickly. Overall, a great product in my opinion. And it reduced the pain completely.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the fence My cold sore started tingling Sunday morning. By Sunday 1pm I had placed a patch on my upper lip. I went through 3 or 4 patches before I got the application down nicely. It has covered my cold sore plus down my lip into my mouth. The patch is too big. I have since cut the patch in half before applying and it's perfect. I didn't realize that I was to wait for the curling of the patch to remove it, the way it is adhere and since I cut it in half I don't think it would ever curl...is there a maximum time to wear it? Yes it stings like crazy when I take it off, I am not having difficulties with a scab oozing because I got the patch on before the sore got that bad. I am completing day 2 and still wondering if it is going to heal. The patched stopped it from progressing...but still wondering what is to come. Still hopeful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to have. I get the odd cold sore. This is the second time I went out to the drug store to purchase this the first sign of a cold sore coming on. The product sticks well, and it has covered it up great! compared to having nothing or white cream on it. The price is a bit much but working with people I feel much better and confident having the healing patch on. I'm on day 2 and it looks like it's at the end of the virus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is my favorite. I have been getting cold sores for as much of my life as I can remember. I've tried everything, right down to prescribed medication. These patches work the best yet. As long as you can detect the cold sore before it inflames, you will need nothing more than the patch. Once you put it on, the sore hardly grows. You do not feel the itching, burning, or paining sensations. You will not feel ugly, and you can easily hide the sore by applying makeup over the patch. <3

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product I get really bad cold sores that usually last up to 3 or 4 weeks at a time. I have tried so many products including other polysporin products. They seem to work alright. I came across the patches this past Monday (it is now wednesday) my cold sores were had been present for just over a week. I put the patches on my lip, the cold sores are completely cleared up. Went from taking a to 4 weeks to heal to 2 days!!! Will definitely be my go to product from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, but can’t buy anymore :( I’ve been using these for a few years now ever since they came out. They work awesome if you can catch a cold sore before it surfaces fully, and even if you don’t, it helps with hiding them a bit. MY BIGGEST ISSUE IS I CANT BUY THEM ANYMORE :’( I don’t know if it’s a severe back order or they’ve stopped making them, but I’m thoroughly disappointed! I went to multiple different stores and none of them have any or even a spot on the shelf! What’s up polysporin?!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont buy it!!! I got a cold sore so i decided to try these patches. Terrible idea, im on day 4th and my cold sore looks even worse, its the size of the patch and just looks swollen. I dont know how to solve this. So overall, yes the patch covers up your cold sore, but it hurts to take off. And you end up with a cold sore that is the size of the patch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's Okay I am not sure how this is going to work for me in the end, but i can say that wearing this patch at work makes it less embarrassing and it definitely takes away the pain. The only problem is, that I notice new blister bubbles forming next to it, as if it's spreading. I am going to keep an eye on this, if i see any more bubbles, I am taking them off and letting it dry naturally.....the weekend is coming so it wont be so bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Abrevia My cold sore was completely concealed and healed in 3 days! You don't even feel the patch nor can you see it. Unlike other cold sore remedies creams such as abrevia do not hide in fact they high lite the cold sore. Creams have to be constantly reapplied and do not stop the spread of the cold sore. Kudos to the inventors of the Polysporin healing patch! I can go out in public without having a white blotch of cream on my lip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cant beat it Best thing i ever used would pay double what they ask. mine usualy last 8 or 9 days down to 6, ive tryed abreva didnt do much other than make it all slimy and ugly this hides and protects and seems to heal faster worth every penny i hope this prouduct will allways be around

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay, but not worth the money I was really excited to try this out as I often get cold sores. I was sadly disappointed though. You couldn't put makeup over the patch as it would clump and show and i found that the edges would curl up so I had to change it often. I went through a whole pack within one week. It would be a lot of money spent if i were to buy these every time I had a cold sore. Overall, I don't think this product is worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the fence I've been getting cold sores my whole life and decided to give the patch a try. I was impressed with how it covered the cold sore due to the matted finish. However have found that it does not help if your cold sore is closer to the inside of your lip..there is to much moisture and it simply won't stay in place. Recently I broke out with a cold sore on my upper lip and I was actually able to use the patches...they stay in place and make it less visible and protect it from irritation. Down side: I put the patch on the moment I notice it starting...and now 3 days in I have the biggest cold sore I have ever had in my life. It contained the virus to the entire area covered by the patch....it literally incubated my cold sore....contained it within the patch...making it the size of a nickle. So ya....it stops the spread of the cold sore...outside the patch, but doubles it in size so I'm not sure how it helped me. I would recommend it to ppl to try as my experience may be a coincidence. As with all things...use at your own discretion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A cold sore necessity In the past things like aberva never worked for me. I needed hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. But the cold sore would break open and spread. Extremely stressful since cold sores can damage your self esteem. I use hydrogen peroxide (for the oxygen) and rubbing alcohol to dry the sore. After, stick one of these on and voila. These are a necessity because it REALLY helps heal as well as stop any spreading.
