Inari Vs Rockwell's
I prefer the texture of the Inari, my beau prefers the taste and of the Rockwell's. Neither are near the best toasted coconut I have had, but both are okay and would add a nice touch when added to cooking and/or baking.
I like to make my own coconut milk, which is can be made using fresh coconut 'or' dried unsweetened all natural coconut. It's simple and quick to make, especially if one follows a recipe which doesn't require any sort of straining or pressing. In the case of dried coconut, it's 1 cup of dried unsweetened coconut to 3 or 4 cups of water in a blender, blended well, and you're done. While I don't specifically recall reading about toasted coconut being used for the making of homemade coconut milk, I'm going to give it a whirl, to see if I prefer the unsweetened, toasted, coconut milk… or the unsweetened, not toasted, coconut milk. Fresh coconut is best of course, but not always an option (made similarly).
