A Water-Free, Stable Vitamin C Solution.
This formula combines two of the most powerful brightening agents in skincare: pure Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin, both solubilized in a completely water-free formula for ideal stability. Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin and reduces signs of aging. Alpha Arbutin is a highly-purified biosynthetic active ingredient that reduces the look of dark spots and uneven skin tone.
Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin are less stable in formulations that contain water and use of them combined in formulations containing water is highly discouraged. This formulation is a water-free, stable solution, and may feel slightly "oily" for a few seconds after application, despite the fact that it is completely free of oil.
Directions: Apply a few drops to face in the AM and PM as part of your skincare regimen. Use sun protection in the AM.

I waited on reviewing this for a month after I started using it to see how it worked for sure, and I am now here to report: No. It does nothing for me. It irritates a little, mainly causing this odd peeling on my face when combined with another product (also The Ordinary) from my routine. Sad because I really wanted this to work, but there are far better products by them for me.

I love most of The Ordinary products I've tried. Repeat customer on several of them. However, this one is not great. Very, very greasy and sticky. It sits on top of my skin for hours, and even rubbing it in doesn't help. It takes hours for the stickiness to go away. I haven't had some of the issues others have complained about, but I will never purchase this again.

I wasnâÂÂt sure about this at first but after a couple weeksâ use I guess my skin has got used to it and I actually love it. My skin is much smoother and more hydrated. ItâÂÂs not oily at all. I canâÂÂt say IâÂÂve noticed much difference with dark spots but maybe I will with longer use.

Pills SOOO Bad!
I understand all the good reviews because I feel like it has made my skin look better BUT it pills so bad once I apply my moisturiser I end up looking like a flaky mess.
