Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxyl acid that helps to exfoliate the skin. This 2% treatment solution helps to exfoliate pores to fight the appearance of blemishes and improve skin clarity with continued use.
Directions: Use in the AM and PM. Apply a small dot directly on spots for visible improvement or apply a small amount over the face to maintain visible clarity with continued use. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Apply product to a small area once a day for three days to test if you are sensitive to this product. Start with one application daily. If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Keep out of reach of children.

I had ordered similar products from Paula's Choice around the same time I ordered this. I had used the Paula's Choice a few times, and then decided to use The Ordinary's one night, and woke up the overnight results - smoother, clearer skin, I don't have much acne, but trying to get rid of blackheads and even out skin tone. It has been like that with all The Ordinary products I have tried, overnight results. Paula's Choice was returned the next day. I will only buy The Ordinary from now on.

Great price, but so far with using it a few weeks it has not reduced the appearance of blemishes which has been a bit disappointing (used in combination with other Ordinary products). But will continue to use to see if this will change in the near future.

Zaps zits and prevents blemishes. Use a sparing amount on problem areas (or breakouts) before applying non-comedogenic moisturizers. This is my go-to adult acne prevention. Super affordable too!
