The Ordinary Serum Foundations are lightweight medium-coverage formulations available in a comprehensive shade range. These foundations offer moderate coverage that looks natural with a very lightweight serum feel. They are very low in viscosity and are dispensed with the supplied pump.
The pigments used in this format are treated for a rich, highly-saturated effect. These pigments are suspended in The Ordinary's proprietary spreadability system that allows pigments to look natural on the skin, resist collecting within fine lines and stay on for longer. The foundations offer a semi-matte finish and are compatible with most primers and are designed to work exceptionally well with The Ordinary primers.

Directions: Shake before use. Dispense a small amount into the palm or the back of your hand. Smooth on and blend throughout the face, ideally outward from the midpoint of the face.

Would definitely buy again! However, I wish the packaging was in a glass container rather than plastic. The formula is very liquidy, which is good, as it helps to not give a cakey look. A little goes a long way!

Love this serum foundation
I purchased this product because I had been hearing such great reviews on serum foundation & I am glad I tried. It literally floats over the skin & leaves a Dewey finish that is sheer. I am 65 & don't want that made up feeling. Will be purchasing a lighter shade to use as a concealer.

The perfect foundation for me
I'd been using the same, considerably more expensive, foundation for years when I saw a review of this online and thought I'd try it. I'm so glad I did. I ordered 3 shades to make sure I found the right one and I found my perfect lighter shade for the winter and my slightly darker summer shade too.
The foundation itself is liquidy and it goes on really easily with my makeup sponge. The coverage is buildable if you want more, but I love the light/medium coverage this gives me. It lasts all day and still looks good right htrough util i take it off.
I agree with others who mentioned it lasts better with a primer. I've tried it with other primers I already had but also bought both of the primers offered by The Ordinary and they are both amazing and much cheaper than my old ones.

Price was right and ingredient list looked fantastic, so I thought IâÂÂd try it out. This product is super watery! It is not, in my opinion, a light coverage either. Also, the medium colour I purchased was more like Trump Orange. This is going straight in the waste basket.

easy to apply and forgiving
great for humid and hot days. I've found i don't need a full pump. Colour 2.0N is great for my slightly tanned northern European complexion. It gives a smoothing and diffused look but I've given it 4 stars because if you have dry areas and patches it will settle and cover badly there. I've gardened in 35 degrees and still looked good , it has real staying power! My skin is very sensitive and it loves this product.

Really good foundation
This is my first time trying The Ordinary foundation. I’m fair and over 50. I chose 1.1N which I do find a little too fair for me but will be good for winter. It is very liquidy but that only helps it spread easier. I do use it over The Ordinary High-adherence Silicone Primer. It gives a really soft matte look but doesn’t settle into any fine lines. I would go up one shade next time but will definitely purchase again. Foundation is a trick to buy online but at this price point and my satisfaction with product, I’m very happy.

I was worried about getting the right shade for my skin but the âÂÂarm colour guideâ was very helpful. AllThe Ordinary products are superior. For the science that stands behind their products, the quality and the price point. The foundation is not heavy but gives the coverage a 63 year old woman requires! It wears very well throughout the day!

Not really makeup...
I found the consistency too thin and runny. When you shake the bottle, you can tell it will not have the coverage of a makeup like cover girl. It would be great for unblemished skins for a hint of coverage and colour but not for someone wanting more. The colour medium is more of a tan and way too dark for me.

Not for me
This is my first foundation from Ordinary and I didn’t get the results I wanted. While writing this review I reread some of the other reviews and I seems a primer is needed for this . I have very, very dry skin and although I love how lightweight this is, it really didn’t settle into my skin, it did the opposite and would end up on my iPhone screen or would rub off on my clothing. The best part is a little goes a long way.. this way my first go at a serum based foundation and it just wasn’t the right product for me.

I love this product! I bought two, one light and one light medium, because I tend to get much paler in the winter. I just mix them until it gives a perfect match! The coverage is very good, and gives a natural glow that I love. I pair this with the primer, and my skin feels like silk. Will buy again!

I'm 36 years old and I have never written a product review before this but I will tell every woman about this product. This foundation is amazing. It is incredibly light and you need very little but it covers amazingly well. I will never buy another brand. (also, its SO affordable!)

I havenâÂÂt used a foundation in over 25 years, because I found them too heavy or oily. This is wonderful, light blends in easily, yet stays on all day. DoesnâÂÂt settle in fine lines or look caked. Absolutely the best. Will definitely be repurchasing.

I love this product! No scent, which is a big plus. Applied after I used the vitamin C serum from Ordinary, with a foundation brush. It smooths on beautifully on my almost-40 skin. For the price, you can't beat it. It's my new go-to foundation. LOVE.

Great coverage and perfect color, however I found when I put it on with my hands my face would look really shiny and greasy an hour later. I have since tried it with a beauty blender and a brush as well which seems to help a bit.

Works well after Serum
I find it to provide a lot of coverage for a light product. I haven't worn foundation in 30 years, so it's shocking how much better products have become. BUT, I don't like the addition of dimethicones (in 5 ways). These are aka as silicones and they create the same barrier as your footwear waterproofing. Also, I cant tell if these pigments are healthy, I prefer natural pigments. Now I can see why this product is so inexpensive. I'll use it about 3 times a year.

Took a chance with this one and LOVE it
I’ve been looking for a super lightweight foundation and this one checks all my boxes. Love the pump dispenser, as you only need a tiny bit to do a whole face. Coverage is buildable and looks natural. I have dry skin and this product keeps me feeling hydrated and doesn’t show any flakes throughout the day. Will definitely buy again.

My favorite foundation!
This foundation is very light weight and does not cake on your skin. It gives a very natural skin like finish. I have brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin and the 1.0 P is perfect for me in the Winter. In the summer I wear 1.1P. I usually wear it 5 days a week, and my last bottle lasted 1.5 years - an excellent value!

Love This
I just love how this feels on the skin - it rather, doesn’t feel. It’s so smooth and weightless, yet gives a light to medium coverage. I am over 50 and hate how foundation gets into all those lines, but this gives a nice natural coverage. It is buildable and on “off” days I use a couple of coats. Highly recommend

Gives a light smoothing coverage
Loves this,I've tried many for my 53 years old, rosacea riddled skin with large pores and reacts to everything but this goes on very easily, a little goes a long way. It smooths and blurs without being heavy and doesnt hide my imperfections but makes them less obvious with a nice glow. Great hot summer choice!

I just found this amazing coverage foundation. And then learned it was discontinued. So wish I found it sooner.
I bought quite a few bottles to try to get a match for color for me

Needs Help
I love the ordinary products, so when I saw that they carried foundation I was super excited to try. I like the coverage but it is very liquidity and even when shaken it makes a mess when applying. Maybe changing the bottle or how it’s dispensed would be better and less frustrating.

Great summer foundation
I use 2.2 on the summer version of my pale English skin. Great texture, evens out the complexion, doesn’t fully cover outbreaks but does a good job on general red/ mild rosacea. A bit matt for my liking do I add a bit of highlighter into the bottle. Amazing for the price.

Shades are now much lighter
Bought a shade darker than my previous Ordinary serum foundation and it is much much lighter, sits in my pores and highlights dry skin I didn't know I had. Tried with a primer. Tried mixed in my moisturizer. Tried with suncream. All made my skin look dry and dull.

Barely there look
I love this foundation as it smooths out my complexion and hides my blotchy bits without looking like I have foundation on. My skin is very sensitive but I have had no issues with this after 2 weeks of use. All it takes is a tiny bit as it spreads well.

I really love this foundation. I have tired it with and without the ordinary fluid primer.. the results were the same. I would say this product has a soft matte finish. Half a pump covers my whole face. I apply it with my fingers like a moisturizer.
