Basic Prenatal is a comprehensive formula designed for the special nutritional needs of pregnancy. It contains nutrients in their most easily absorbed and utilized forms that are essential for the mother and child. Sometimes prenatal formulas can cause nausea; however, because of the use of moderate amounts of highly bioavailable nutrients, Basic Prenatal is easy on the stomach.
Recommended Dosage (for pregnant and lactating women):
Caution: Risk Information: For adult use only. Keep out of reach of children. There is enough drug in this package to seriously harm a child. This product is available in a child proof package. Some people may experience constipation, diarrhea, and/or vomiting. Consult your health professional prior to use if you are taking blood thinners. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.Do not use if security seal inside the cap is broken. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
Recommended Dosage (for pregnant and lactating women):
Always read and follow the label. Take 1 capsule twice daily or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Take with food. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.

Good but no Omega 3?
So far this is easy on the stomach and the nutrition profile looks good but.... there’s no Omega 3 in this so I will have to get another supplement for that. Anyone got food vegan options?

Originally recommended by my naturopath, they used to be 3/day. I wanted to have something that was 2/day so had switched to another brand. I'm glad I switched back!! No nausea, no after effects of any kind (which I was getting from the other brand). Also now these have changed to only 2/day! Highly recommended this product!

THESE PRENATALS ARE AMAZING. NO NAUSEA EVEN IF I TAKE WITH NO FOOD FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. I have a very sensitive stomach, and all prenatals give me major nausea no matter if I take them with food or before bed or at dinner. I love these ones. Makes me feel good knowing I have a high quality product. I ordered three bottles at a time!!!! They are delivered right to my door and super quickly.

My naturopath recommended this product to me, and it seems to be as good as she said. I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding anymore, I just take one (not the recommended two) pill a day for a little boost.

Make me feel ill, but the ingredient list is decent
I don't know what it is about these vitamins, but I have been feeling sick ever since I started taking them. It isn't just around the time I take them, either. It's all day stomach issues, pain, nausea... I think I might switch back to New Chapter. The ingredient list is fine, nothing unusual or extraordinary. Run of the mill prenatal.

I’m not pregnant but I wanted to see how sick these made me at my baseline. So far so good! I do take these 2 capsules once a day which is not what it says to do but it’s too hard to time it all. I haven’t don’t proper research onto if the folate is right or not but I would def use these if I get pregnant

I've been using Thorne Prenatals for over a year now and I find them easy to swallow. I also like that it provides real folate. The only downside is that it doesn't have Omega 3 in it.

No synthetic folic acid
I switched to Thorne Prenatal halfway into my pregnancy since it doesn’t have the synthetic form of folate, folic acid and did not regret. Fully recommend!
