(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was excited to receive this hairspray to try - #gotitfree thanks to @ChickAdvisor yay!!! It worked surprisingly well. At first I was really confused at why when I used it, my hair didn't get stiff to the touch like it normally does from any other hairspray I've used. I thought maybe I wasn't applying enough, but then I read more closely and realized that it's just part of what makes this product so unique and sets it apart from the other kinds of hairspray!
I wear synthetic dreads in the bottom parts of my hair from time to time, but I like to make a little poof thing on top using my natural hair. It usually flattens out by mid-day, but using this it stayed poofy!! I even had a hat on when I went for a walk, plus had a small nap! Great stuff!
Also, the smell of it I found to be a lot more like perfume in comparison to other hairsprays I've used. It did still smell like hairspray, but it was a little more milder = would be better for anyone who is sensitive to stronger smelling ones. :)
Overall, I'd definitely recommend it!

I was really excited to try out this hairspray - Let me start by saying, I only use hair spray maybe once or twice a week when I curl my hair (if I don't use it, my hair falls flat). What I hate about standard hairspray is the crunchy feeling it can leave behind, and sometimes a dull look. The pros about this hair spray is that it doesn't have that crunchy feeling or dull look - The spray is so fine (since it's a mist) which I thought would be awesome. But for being a "level 3" spray, which I think is the strongest hold in this line, it did not keep my hair curled all day, in fact, it didn't even keep my style in place for 5 mins. I sprayed it all over my hair and within 5 minutes, the curls were almost straightened out (I didn't do anything differently with how I curl my hair). TresEmme has awesome hairsprays, but this isn't one of them sadly :( If you're looking for a good finishing spray to add shine, this will work, but don't trust it to keep your hair style in tact.

This hairspray is not your mom's wet sticky and gross hairspray from the 80s and well let's be honest.. all the other's we have known since then. I hated hairspray because of that nasty wet mess it leaves on your hair no matter how far you spray away but THIS is a game changer! Tresemme Boost Compressed Micro Mist is a fine wonderful mist that coats your hair leaving it put without weighing it down or making it sticky. It left my waves nice and neat but NOT STIFF. My roots stayed looking full but my hair still had movement and was nice to the touch. The scent was amazing! Really soft beautiful fragrance but did not choke me half to death, oh yes, I know you are all out there and know what I'm talking about, the ol' "spray and pray". I would literally spray my hair with other hairsprays, hold my breath and immediately run out of the room! It lasted all day and felt so natural. No nasty residue!!! I will without question be using this and only this from now on.

There are three things I look for in an effective hairspray: hold, texture, and smell. So how did TRESemmé Boost Compressed Micro Mist Hair Spray Hold Level 3 fare against the test?
In terms of hold, the spray allowed my hair style to stay curled for the entire day. The curls did let out a little. However, I didn’t use a lot of the spray because I wanted to test out how the texture would be.
Speaking of texture, I was impressed with the softness. It may have been because of the mist, but my hair didn’t feel crunchy nor sticky, which is always a bonus. Crispiness belongs on toast, not on hair.
I also liked that the smell was fairly pleasant, not heavy. It didn’t have the typical smell of chemicals, so I felt confident my hair wouldn’t smell funky if anyone stood too close to me.
I didn’t notice any specific difference in providing my hair with a boost, but it didn’t compress its usual volume, either. Overall, this is a product worth purchasing and trying, if only once.

Very light, lighter than anything I have ever tried, but it works on my fine hair.
