Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is indicated to help to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid to balance visible aspects of sebum activity.

Works Great!
After a few weeks of using I can say I love this little bottle of goodness! The most effective way to use I found is when I take my baths because of the warmth and steam, it helps the product set in. I follow up with the Ordinary’s rosehip seed oil (also in the bath while my pores are open and really absorbing the products). I then pat my face with a towel when I get out so there is no excess. I still get some pimples but so far they have stayed very small! Will be ordering again!

i really do believe this is helping me
I use this on my face and under my chin and neck. My chin had a dark mark left over from a brown spot i tried to remove myself. I believe it was a mole and it had began to spread. I bought this knowing it was good for damaged skin barrier and I actually found out that it also helps to lighten and decrease dark spots. It helps prevent melanin transfer so its great for those with pigmentation problems. I'm impressed I like this company and I may try their other products.

It actually produces results
This is effective. I have cystic acne. Acne is very visible and has for me at times prevented me going into public places when its in high flare mode. Lately it was getting very bad. So I sat down and started reseraching because I believe that my skin was missing elements ( vitamins and amides) that most people had and was reacting to stress and enviromental factors. I use this daily and combine it with a zinc cream. I also take chelated vitamins with zinc as well to balance the dermis and epidermis layers. I have tried every product out there doctor prescribe and over the counter. They either caused inflammation making it much worse causing burns and serious flares or they were completely ineffective and a waste of money and time. It has taken years to find things that work. I am happy with the results so far.

magic serum
Been using this for just over 3 months (that's how long the 30 mL bottle lasted for me using 2-3 drops every AM and PM) and I will probably continue using it forever. I have oily, acne prone skin and I found that the niacinamide + zinc serum has lightened my acne scars, reduced blemishes, and made my skin just more glowy and nice in general.
AM routine is CeraVe foaming cleanser, this serum, and CeraVe daytime moisturizer with SPF; PM routine is CeraVe foaming cleanser, Ordinary squalane cleanser a few times a week for a double cleanse, this serum, and Ordinary NMF+HA. Extremely budget friendly as all the products are really affordable and last for a several months. I would recommend all these products, but I think the niacinamide+zinc serum specifically has had the most profound effect on overall skin appearance.

Amazing serum for acne prone skin
I am on my second bottle of this serum and I love it. The low price does not indicate the quality of the product - not sure how The Ordinary keeps their prices so low but I am happy they do. I am prone to blemishes and since using this serum I can't remember having a pimple, it's actually amazing. I use it in the morning before applying moisturizer - you only need a small amount to cover your face. I keep an extra bottle on hand so that I never run out!

I have struggled with combination skin and cystic acne for ages. I was looking for a solution, then randomly found this product and decided to give it a try. I wasn't very hopeful, given my very sensitive skin but I've been completely wowed by the effectiveness of this product. I can't use it every day (as the instructions say), but I apply every 2-3 days and the change in my skin has been astounding. Highly recommend and will continue to use!

Definitely works. I used to have issues with shine on my face but not anymore. It took a while to find the right amount to use and to figure out how to use it. It can peel so make sure your face or hands are damp when using it. Also, if you have dry or oily/dry skin, use very little (I only use two drops) or it can dry you out. Love that it fades dark spots. My skin is more even than it has ever been. Highly recommend

Helped dry out my quarantine stress acne
I was having terrible breakouts during quarantine despite very rarely wearing make up, so I decided to try this serum. I have tried The Ordinary’s glycolic acid and was only “meh” about it, but this product was great. It dried my acne without irritating my dry patches.

This really works!
My skin was constantly breaking out. I bought this based on a number of recommendations and have been using it for about 3 weeks. My skin has completely cleared up! I use about 2 drops each morning and night as part of my cleansing routinely just on my chin/jaw area where I was getting breakouts. A little goes a long way and it absorbs quickly. Highly recommend!

I have been using this for a couple of years and really notice the difference in my skin when I run out and have to take a break from using it. I love The Ordinary and this is my absolute favourite product they make! Keeps my skin bright and clear. It absorbs well and doesn't leave skin sticky. It also layers great over or under other serums and moisturizer.

This is a product that I now cannot live without! Adding this into my skin care routine has been the greatest thing. My pores are smaller, and I am having little to no break outs, as I was prone to large acne break outs across the chin area. Highly recommend! The only thing that works to visibly shrink my pores!
I have been using this product for at elast 2 years now, if not more and then recently (due to a move) I changed up my routine and suddenly noticed that after about 6 months, my pores became so much more visible. I switched back aboout 2 weeks ago and can already see a huge difference- getting back to my usual happy, non-porous self!

Holy Grail Addition
This product was the missing link in my skincare regimen. Niacinamide + Zinc has softened my skin texture, reducing the size of the sebaceous filaments on my nose and chin. Closed comedones and minor pimples are gone within a day or two at most. I only use this product at night and I have dry/acne-prone skin. PM routine: Cerave SA Cleanser, The Ordinary's Buffet Serum and The Ordinary's Niacinamide + Zinc on damp skin, Complex 15 Daily Face Cream (holy grail moisturizer; urea is better than hyaluronic acid in this dry Canadian climate), The Ordinary's Squalane Oil, and La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. If your acne is more severe, Niacinamide+ Zinc is NOT a cure-all. You need to restore your moisture barrier, baby your skin, and speak with a dermatologist to determine the type of acne you have. Don't lose hope! It took me years to find a skincare regimen that works for me. Keep it simple and don't waste your money on luxury brands dressing up cheap ingredients.

I haven't noticed any reduction in breakouts or pore size after using the entire bottle daily. Also, I still get oily in my T-zone. It does leave my skin feeling soft and smooth, but I get the same results with Vitamin C serum. Unfortunately, I don't think this serum does anything noticeable to make it worth repurchasing.

Amazing
Really does reduce uneven skin tone and leaves you with radiant, glowing skin. I like the feeling it leaves on my face after it dries.. subtle smell but it’s so worth the hype. it’s significantly gotten rid of dark spot from acne scars, and even has prevented me from having breakouts. 10/10 would recommend.

Made me break out
I really wanted to love this. Unfortunately, it made me break out pretty badly. I never get any pimples or acne, and this was the only new thing in my beauty routine. Soon after applying I would feel a slight irritation and the following day found lots of raised red pimples all over my forehead and chin.

So far so good!
I first tried this a few years ago and I can’t recall if it worked or not. But my second time around I can confidently say that this stuff works! I use this in the morning and then alternate my BHA in the evernings. I think I can see a difference as my active acne heals much quicker.

Great addition to my routine
I've been using this for a week now in my nighttime routine. My skin feels more firm, pores are less noticeable, and gives a more even tone. No more redness, especially when I wake up the next day. I'm happy with the purchase and I recommend adding this to your routine!

This hasn't been my favourite but maybe my skin just doesn't need this as much as I thought. The smell is a bit weird and you have to make sure you tap this into your skin as it doesn't rub around, but it seems to be working well enough. No issues with it so far!

Great Results!
I started using this two weeks ago and notice a major difference in my complexion. My skin is less oily in the T zone during the day and it has cleared up a lot of congestion. If you are struggling is "maskne" this is something you should be using!

Works pretty well and feels nice
This gel works nicely to help keep my acne reduced and prevent breakouts. It's makes my skin a bit red after use and definitely sensitized my face to sunlight, so extra sunscreen has been a must. The price is very right for the results you get!

Lightweight and firming
Love this product. I have a sensitive skin so I was a bit hesitant about the 10% Niacinamide in this serum. It gives me a little bit of burning sensation but it goes away quickly and then I feel lightness and firmness on my skin.

Terrific results
I have extremely oily, blemish prone skin, and this serum has helped significantly. Since using this at night under my retinol, or moisturizer, I am noticing less sebum/ oil production through the day, and less noticeable pores.
