Glowy, refreshing moisturizer with sun protection

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This Biore UV Aqua Rich glowy sunscreen has a great texture and goes on easily and soaks in well. The smell reminds me of the classic sunscreen smell which is so nostalgic for me. I love it. It's not strong though just lightly scented like that. It definitly leaves my skin glowy the way it's meant to. I do notice on my fingers after the sparkles that are in the product but when it's on my face it's not sparkly but instead just leaves a glow on my face. I can't say for how well it works at keeping me from getting sunburns as it's winter where I am right now and we haven't had sun in a while. It's a great size bottle and will last a long time! I will say though I'm not sure on the concept of using it in the summer as I find usually skin is more shiny in the summer anyways but as a winter lotion it works well. Gives you that supple look.

Great hybrid - SPF + Moisturizer
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I recently tried the Biore UV Aqua Rich Glowy Moisturizer SPF 50, and it’s honestly one of the lightest sunscreen-moisturizer hybrids I’ve used. I’d been seeing multiple dermatologists recommend it on Instagram, which really got me excited to finally try it myself. It absorbs super quickly, feels weightless on the skin, and leaves no white cast at all—something I really appreciate.
The added hyaluronic acid keeps my skin hydrated through the day, and it layers beautifully under makeup, almost like a primer with a subtle glow. I love that it doesn’t feel greasy or clog my pores. That said, I did notice that the Canadian/US version feels a bit different from the original Japanese formula, and the fragrance is slightly noticeable at first. It also uses chemical UV filters, which might not be for everyone.
Overall, it’s an affordable, award-winning option that works really well for everyday use if you want strong SPF protection without the heavy sunscreen feel.

Good Ingredients Mixed with Ones I Avoid

I tried this moisturizer and it definitely delivers on a few fronts: it feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, leaves a subtle glow, and provides broad-spectrum SPF 50 protection. Some of the ingredients are genuinely beneficial — glycerin and hyaluronic acid help hydrate the skin, and niacinamide can support the skin barrier and even skin tone.
However, several ingredients make this product not a fit for me. The chemical UV filters, while effective for sun protection, persist in waterways and can harm aquatic life. Silicones coat the skin, which can trap sweat and sebum, potentially leading to clogged pores or irritation, and they are non-biodegradable, accumulating in the environment. Fragrance and phthalates are present too, which can trigger allergic reactions or hormone disruption.
For me, the combination of these ingredients outweighs the benefits. While the moisturizer performs well cosmetically, it doesn’t align with my health or environmental standards, so I won’t be continuing to use it. I stick to skincare that supports both my body and the planet.
