This has a weird taste and smell and at first I thought it had gone rancid but then realized that the ingredients include carrots and celery - two things that do not belong in Italian pasta sauce. I made plain pasta with this and couldn't eat it - tasted awful. Made pizza with it - had to throw it out too, tasted rancid. Used it in minestrone and it was fine because carrots and celery belong in minestrone.
Obviously, taste is a personal thing. You may love this. I don't. Won't be buying it again because I do not like how carrots and celery make a pasta sauce taste. I think it's more the celery than the carrots that overpowers and makes it smell/taste rancid. But that's just me.

This pasta sauce is a godsent for folks who can't have garlic and onion in their diet. It also tastes great. Thank you Rao's for making this marinara sauce for the increasing population of us who have to avoid onion and garlic. I will spread the word.
