I feel cheated
Lotion is good. Scent is fine.
I have a good inch of lotion left that the pump can’t get to. No problem I think. I’ll just open it and whack what’s left into my hand. There is still quite few uses left in the bottle. It is not even empty. I go to turn the lid. It doesn’t turn. It is locked in position.
Vaseline has actually made me feel like I’ve been used and cheated. I can’t even believe Vaseline would do something like this!
So do I go to my workshop and attempt to cut it open?
I really like the lotion but will never buy a bottle again.

Great for super rough areas!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I really like this product! I don't have dry skin all over but I do have really dry anckles and elbows. After just a few days of using this lotion I could notice that the dry areas were much softer and less flakey. I will be keeping this product on hand!

Smart Pump = Not Smart
This new smart pump is beyond frustrating!
After five pumps, the pump seized and I'm now left with almost a full bottle of lotion that I cannot access. I tried wedging the top off with scissors and pliers, but was unsuccessful.
This is my second bottle of this product. I had difficulty with the first pump as well. I noticed the pump left much lotion remaining, which meant a lot of lotion going to waste. I hate wasting products.
From reading the reviews, I'm not the only one having problems with this 'new smart pump'!
The lotion itself does not hydrate as well as I would expect a product from Vaseline to. Petroleum jelly hydrates much better! It does have a nice smell though. Hence, two stars!
I hate having to throw out a full bottle of lotion. Please send me a replacement.

New "stupid" pump
The new pump is very annoying because you can't tell which side the cream comes from. When it gets low the pump no longer works and there is no way of getting the bottom 2 inches of cream out. I will not buy it again. I can't believe anybody thought this was an improvement.

Do something about the smart pump!
I've been using the dry skin repair lotion for several years now and have enjoyed the non-greasy feel of the product and the scent. However, I absolutely do not like the new smart pump. After buying the 600ml size bottle, the pump stopped working after only one use. The pump won't move down when I press on it, and I can't even open it at the next. Go back to using the pump that you used to have, because this new smart pump is no good whatsoever. Plecase fix your mistake!

Poor nozzle design
Whoever designed the nozzle and then had it approved didn't really think of real life situations. Do they even use this product themselves?
The design of the nozzle is terrible, the side where the lotion ejects is identical to the opposite side so one doesn't necessarily know which side the lotion will eject and once in a while you get it wrong.
Here's an idea, taper the end where the lotion ejects and add a bright colour to that end.
You can thank me later.

Pump lid
I have been using one form or another of Vaseline for years, great cream for my dry skin...the problem is these not well thought out lids!! Even if they had put a slight coloration on the pump out side, it would solve all issues. So much waste from it facing the wrong way, and the two inches left in the bottom! Please bring back the old style lid!

Simply put - this stuff works!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had never tried the Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin lotion before but wow, in only 8 days I've noticed a big difference in my skin! I put it on after the shower and it locks in the moisture but without feeling sticky against my clothing. Plus my body is moisturized all day long. The fragrance is a little strong so I was worried about my sensitive skin as I break out from overly potent fragrance in lotions but this didn't do that! Amazing! I will honestly continue to use this product, I really dig it

New pump and cap is the stupidest design!!!
This new smart pump is not smart at all!! Can’t tell which side is the opening and end up pumping it onto my clothes or carpet or counter if it’s facing the wrong way!! As well so much product left in the bottle and I can’t open the cap to get rest of it out by turning it upside down!!! I have used Vaseline lotion for decades and this new pump design makes me want to throw it across the room and has given me anxiety and frustration trying to open the cap, even with a blade to try to lift the cap off but stupid thing won’t budge, it dig into the bottle but frickin cap won’t move at all! What idiot designed this and what idiot approved this new pump????! Bring back a normal pump and twist off cap!!

My old faithful!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have been using Vaseline body lotion and moisturizer for as long as I can remember. It's always been a staple in my beauty routine. I especially love the cocoa butter but they are all great and have a delightful light scent. Vaseline products have just the right amount of moisture for me, enough to feel that I'm wearing it, but not too heavy. I gave my review four stars because there are a couple ingredients in the formula that I try to avoid, other than that this would be the ideal perfect product.

Great cream but very poor bottle design
My concern is with bottle design.
Its poorly designed bottle, specially this new with smart lock. Pump can't reach to cream, when bottle has around 15% cream left at bottom. And this is like same issue for each of your bottles. Earlier we were able to open main lead and somehow managed to take out remaining cream but now with "so called" smart pump design we can't open main lead and this is causing so much of waste without any reason.
Please improve your bottle design so that we don't have to pay extra for the cream that we can't use at all.....

Smart Pump is terrible
I have never given a review of anything, but I've been using Vaseline lotion for years but I won't buy it again due to the "Smart" Pump. I have to throw out and waste a lot of lotion that I paid for because of this stupid new design that doesn't allow anyone to take it off. Who thought this was a good design? Please change it back to the old design.

Inability to unscrew top
I will NEVER by this product again! Once there isn’t enough lotion to pump out, you are unable to turn upside down or unscrew the top to get the remaining lotion out. Total design failure.

My bestfriend during dry winter months
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am impressed. Dry winter has caught up with me and I've had itchy skin for a long time. I moisturize everyday but I guess my regular lotion is not cutting it. Just after the first use, I can feel it was burning my dry skin. It's working! I usually get dry skin after showering but this lotion was still effective after showering. It absorbs on your skin quickly and moisture lasts all day long. I will continue to buy Vaseline from now on. Not greasy and scent is not overpowering.

Why the Changes?
Hello! I have used your lotion for decades and love it. The one thing that I appreciated the most was the scent, being someone who is very sensitive to scents your product never gave me the headache others do. But the scent is now different and it does give me a headache. Today, I visited your site today in hopes of learning the trick to opening the lotion bottle. I have a decorative glass bottle in my bathroom that I keep filled with your lotion. But I can’t twist the cap off (like before) to refill it. I don’t understand why you made these changes to a great product. Thank you for your time!

My everyday lotion!
This is my everyday lotion, I have very sensitive skin and this is the only lotion I can use. My latest bottle had little bits of plastic inside which has never happened before and it has now clogged the “smart” pump. This pump is terrible and I’m not sure how to fix this because you can’t unscrew the lid anymore.

Hate the smart pump
I am a devoted Vaseline user for all your products. BUT this new pump design is terrible. Please figure out something better or go back to the old. In my humble opinion I would love to see the big sizes come in a simple squeeze style bottle with no pump. I not a fan of any pumps and prefer the simple squeeze bottles with a flip cap and the ability to stand the bottle on end to get all the lotion out. I love the new smell but was caught off guard as it’s not indicated on the label. Give this smell a name please.

Smooth, supple moisture
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have incredibly dry skin and am always looking for a new lotion. I started using this one about 10 days ago, nightly after my shower. My legs are no longer flaky dry sad things and even the cracks on my heels are healing. It smells good and goes on without being sticky or taking too long to absorb into the skin. I find it keeps me moisturized until my next-day shower. SOmetimes I think I can actually feel my body drinking in the moisture. Thanks Vaseline!

Hate the new pump
I cannot screw the cap off the lotion to remove the lotion at the bottom of the bottle. Not going to buy this smart pump anymore. Been using this lotion for years but I want my money's worth. Which means every last drop.

Horrible Design
The lotion is fine but the design of the bottle is utterly terrible. I had about 1/5 of the product left when the pump would no longer force it out. Lo and behold, you can’t unscrew the top!! Whoever thought of this stupid design?? Ended up slicing the top off using a box cutter and scraping the remaining lotion out. I will never buy this product, in ANY size, ever again, and I’ve been a loyal customer for years. You are just ripping off the consumer and I’m thoroughly disgusted with your company.

Daily Routine
I used to use your product everyday. However, I can't get the top off to get the rest of the lotion out and my husband is tired of spending the time to cut the lid off. I don't seem to have this problem with any other bottle that I use. I have had to stop using your product for this reason alone. I used this product for years and loved it but I can't throw out a bottle that is still got quite a bit left in it. I hope that if you do change this issue you advertise and hopefully I will hear about the change and I will try it again but in the meantime as I said I had to move on.

Terrible smart pump design
Love the product, it works very well but I can't get the smart pump lid to open! There's still so much left in the bottle and its such a waste because I can't open the lid to get to it! There has to be a better way to design this :(

Why did they change the shape of the pump?!
I am writing this as I prepare for bed as once again I have to get up turn on the lights to clean up cream. Why? Because in the dark i cannot tell which end is which. Been using this product for years, always use a little before bed. Since the new pump I keep pushing wrong end- honestly I should be able to tell by the feel in the dark like I have been doing for years. For the love of all that is good please change it back!!!

Smooth, not sticky and moisurizing!

I had smelly stuff, and sticky stuff but nothing that actually cut through my dry itchy skin. Within two applications, no more itchy, flake skin! I have been using this product on a daily basis and it has definitely become my new favorite!

Love the smell

My favourite lotion

Scent change was totally unnecessary.
I've used the Dry Skin Repair lotion for years and had to purchase more as I had run out recently only to discover that the scent has changed. The lotion itself doesn't seem to have changed much but the scent is repulsive; it starts to smell like cheesy feet after a few minutes. Disappointed that I'll have to look for a new lotion, I thought this one was the perfect one for me.

Best hand & body lotion out there!
Bought this cream a few months back and now it's my go-to cream for hands and body. Even bought a small version to keep at my desk at work during the dry winter months (and summer too!) The scent is so light and lovely I can't wait to put it on! For a super hydrating cream, it absorbs in an instant - no leftover residue whatsoever! Can't recommend enough.
