NAD+ or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a critical coenzyme found in every cell in the body. Meaning it will initiate or assist in hundreds of metabolic reactions. The decline in NAD+ levels is seen alongside a loss in the function of our cells, a natural function of aging. This means that their ability to make cell energy (called ATP) becomes less effective, while their ability to protect against (or repair) cell damage goes down.  Cells become more susceptible to damage from things you expose your body to, including the foods and beverages, environmental pollutants, UV damage, inflammation and infections, and chronic stress.
