Benylin Extra Strength Mucous & Phlegm Relief Plus Cough Control works in your lungs to break up tough mucous and phlegm, and has an expectorant to clear it from your chest. This extra strength fast-acting offering is specially formulated to loosen and thin out mucous and phlegm so that you can expel it when you cough.

Directions: Adults (12 years and over) take 2 teaspoons (10 mL) every 6 hours. Maximum 8 teaspoons (40 mL) per day. (Not recommended for children under 12 years.)
Caution: Consult a healthcare practitioner before use with other medications, including natural health products, prescription drugs, or nonprescription drugs. Talk to a doctor before using this product if you have asthma, chronic lung disease/shortness of breath, persistent/chronic cough, or are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking a drug for depression, including monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor drugs. Check with a doctor if cough worsens, lasts more than 7 days, or tends to recur, if sore throat pain persists for more than 2 days, or if you also have excessive secretions or fever. Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Overdose may result in serious harm. Do not use if you are allergic reactions such as wheezing, rash or itching develop.

Non-medicinal Ingredients: alcohol, citric acid, FD&C Blue n? 1, FD&C Red n? 40, flavour, glycerin, monoammonium glycyrrhizinate, polyethylene glycol, polyoxyl hydrogenated castor oil, propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, water and xanthan gum. Caloric content: 5.7 Kcal/5 mL.

My Favorite Cough Medicine.
Everytime I get sick the germ goes straight to my lungs. I get nasty mucus buildup. Some over counter medicines have helped but this one is the best by far. My cough get so sever that this is the only cough medicine that gives me the most relief. And it really breaks down Mucus. A must have during cold and flu season. I highly recommend.

Highly recommended
After coughing in my sleep for over an hour my partner gave up on sleep and went out and bought this for me. Almost instantly after taking there was a difference and we both slept the night. The next day my cough sounded so much better. I was shocked at how well it worked.

The best over the counter syrup ever
When I get a cold, sometimes the cough is so bad that I need a prescription syrup with codeine in it. I saw this at the drug store and gave it a try. The relief was instant and lasted for hours. I will recommend this to my friends

Miracle worker!
I normally avoid taking medicine when I come down with a cough/cold, but this past December, I had a terrible cough that would not go away and the doctor said that it was a post viral cough that would most likely last quite a while. This syrup kept my "wet" cough at bay and I was able to carry on with my life and enjoy the holidays.

Cured my husbands nasty cough
My husband had a cold and he has some seriously nasty mucas when he coughed. I finally bought him this to try and get rid of the horrible sounds coming from him. With in the day of using this the nasty cough started to subside and the mucas went away. We dont use cough products often, but this one was worth the expense.

Great Product!
This product really works. We use this all the time for congestion and our go to otc drug when we have cough. It helps greatly in loosening any mucus or dry phlegm that are normally hard to expectorate. It's nice that it also has menthol as it helps soothe any throat pain as well.

Takes control of your symptoms
Last time I had a terrible cold nothing was working until I tried this Benilyn. Didn't make me drowsy and made my days so much more manageable. I've never had a cough medicine work so well on my chest congestion. Highly recommended.

GREAT FOR NOT KNOCKING YOU OUT....
I take this at work even when I need it. It does not make me drowsy and I can still complete my shift at work as a cashier. It starts to work immediately and lasts for hours. Stops all my coughing.....
