Benylin Extra Strength Mucous & Phlegm Relief Plus Cough Control works in your lungs to break up tough mucous and phlegm, and has an expectorant to clear it from your chest. This extra strength fast-acting offering is specially formulated to loosen and thin out mucous and phlegm so that you can expel it when you cough.

Directions: Adults (12 years and over) take 2 teaspoons (10 mL) every 6 hours. Maximum 8 teaspoons (40 mL) per day. (Not recommended for children under 12 years.)
Caution: Consult a healthcare practitioner before use with other medications, including natural health products, prescription drugs, or nonprescription drugs. Talk to a doctor before using this product if you have asthma, chronic lung disease/shortness of breath, persistent/chronic cough, or are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking a drug for depression, including monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor drugs. Check with a doctor if cough worsens, lasts more than 7 days, or tends to recur, if sore throat pain persists for more than 2 days, or if you also have excessive secretions or fever. Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Overdose may result in serious harm. Do not use if you are allergic reactions such as wheezing, rash or itching develop.

Medicinal Ingredients: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (15 mg/5 mL), Guaifenesin (200 mg/5 mL), Menthol (15 mg/5 mL).
Non-medicinal Ingredients: alcohol, citric acid, FD&C Blue n? 1, FD&C Red n? 40, flavour, glycerin, monoammonium glycyrrhizinate, polyethylene glycol, polyoxyl hydrogenated castor oil, propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, water and xanthan gum. Caloric content: 5.7 Kcal/5 mL.

First Time Using This Product - Love it!
This is the first time I have used this product - I bought it three days ago to help break up a particularily nasty cough that was hanging out in my lungs. It worked quickly from the very first dose - far better then I expected. I highly recommend it for exactly what it claims to combat - a cough that settles in full of mucus and phlegm.

Clears up everything!
This is my favourite cough syrup ever. I feel like as soon as I take one dose it clears up everything from my chest to my throat and even my nose. It has worked for me every time I have gotten a cold or a flu, and has definitely helped with my symptoms.

Tastes Gross, but works!
So this what I bought for my 12 year old, who gags on it when she has to take it!!! She is unable to swallow pills,so grits her teeth and downs it! But, because it worked so well on her, she was willing to take the second dose when needed!

Great product for the whole family!
BENYLIN® Extra Strength Mucus & Phlegm Plus Cough Control is a wonderful product. I like to use it as soon as a noisy cough starts. I think it is best to get rid of anything in the chest before it becomes more trouble.
