I bought these glasses because I got tired of having to clean the coffee and tea stains out of my traditional china/ceramic cups. As it turns out, I absolutely love them!
The ingenious design feature that makes them different from some other double wall glass cups I have seen is the silicone valve mentioned in the description above. According to the brochure that came in the box, ".... the silicone vent at the bottom that equalizes the air pressure between the layers when either hot or cold liquids are added, permeable only to air never to water. This vent enhances durability and will never allow liquids to enter between the two layers."
