Amazing product - needs proper instructions though
This product is fantastic when used properly. Unfortunately, Cerave's packaging doesn't provide proper instructions. If they noted these 2 key items on the packaging, this item would be flying off the shelves: 1. any face cream with an SPF needs to 'set' on your skin for 15-20 minutes before applying makeup or it will roll off in tiny white balls. 2. this has an AIR PUMP, there's no tube inside (it's too thick to pass through a skinny tube) so you'll need to pump it at least a few times to get the product out...don't fear, throw it out or return it if it suddenly stops dispensing, it will eventually come out with continuous pumping and a little patience ;).

Horrible packaging, can’t get the cream out
I use other Cerave products and recommend them to friends, but on this product the packaging is horrible. After only a few uses, I habe to take the screw top off and bang it as hard as I can on my palm to get a small amount of cream out of the packaging. Next I’ll break the tube apart and try to get more out of it. Wasteful, completely inefficient packaging. The product is too thick for a pump package. I don’t have problems with peeling as I wear it on bare skin, but I won’t purchase again unless the packaging is completely redesigned. How about a jar of the cream, like the Cerave night cream I use?

Poor packaging-too thick cream
Will never buy again such poor packaging. After hardly any use the pump will not pump out any cream. Despite various efforts to get cream out of it, I pried the pump off and tried to bang the cream out but it is too thick. I could see all kinds still in the bottle. I’ve just spent the last 30 minutes with a kebab skewer trying to scoop out cream because I’m that stubborn. As a pharmacist who uses other Cerave products for prescription compounding, I’m very disappointed. Either better packaging or a thinner cream is needed. WILL NOT recommend to patients looking for a moisturizer with sunscreen.

Not creamy enough
This stuff is really not great. I bought it since I have been using their other day cream but it smelled too much like sunscreen so I went with this one. This one does not smell like sunscreen, but it is so tacky and difficult to smooth over your face, I feel like I am pulling on my skin. It also doesn't mix with ANYTHING so make sure that if you put a serum on first it really absorbs before you put this on. It was so bad it started pilling off my face and just was so gross and annoying. It was a shame to look in the mirror and realize how much white residue was on my face. Get a clear moisturizer if you can - the white will leave residue and be embarrassing if you go out and forget to attack your face with rubbing it in. I hate this product and I wish I did not waste my money on it.

Love the product and here’s a tip for peeling!
I bought this about two months ago! I saw some comments in regard to flaking and I wanted to say that I had a similar issue intially but I was having that issue with all facial sunscreens so I researched why! Often you need to either a. wait for your serums to absorb or b. apply less of the product, don’t overload your face with it or c. wait for the moisturizer to be absorb before you apply make up.
I have dry skin and tend to be heavy handed with my moisturizer and I also have fair red head skin so I am also heavy handed with sunscreen — anyhow try out the above methods! No promises but this worked for me

NOT Moisturizing!
I was super excited to try this as my first CeraVe product after hearing such great things about the brand. I read all the positive reviews and had high hopes, but unfortunately, I’m severely disappointed.
While I do feel protected against the sun, this cream leaves my skin feeling incredibly DRY—not moisturized at all. Living in the north, our winters are brutal on the skin, and I was specifically looking for a daytime face cream that would provide sun protection while deeply moisturizing. Sadly, this product doesn’t deliver on the hydration front.
I won’t be purchasing this again and have already given the cream away. Very disappointed and expected much better based on the hype around CeraVe.

Acne prone skin - this product is INCREDIBLE!
I'm hooked! This product is incredible. I have acne prone skin so a lot can irritate my skin or break me out. This does not. My concern with ANY moisturizer is if it will leave your skin feeling heavy and greasy. This product is the complete opposite! It comes out thick (which is concerning) BUT it goes on smoothly (feels like silk), not greasy or heavy and dries matte. You don't feel it on your skin at all but is highly moisturizing! Since using this product, my skin has turned for the better! I literally look forward waking up in the morning because of this product. Haha. Highly recommend!!! (and a note to CeraVe ... Please make more, it's hard to find!) lol

Not impressed
I like Cerave products, but this one disappoints. I started to use it 2months ago and it feels very dry on the skin. Applying my make up on top of it, isn’t possible. Even my most hydrating foundation cracks on top of this moisturizer ( I did a lot of experimenting and everything failed) and my skin looks cracked and fine lines are more visible. Too bad, because I like the ingredients like hyaluronic acids... everything sounded so promising. I stopped using it, because my skin needs something hydrating with anti -aging benefits, that lets my skin glow and doesn’t emphasize fine lines.
