Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rashes and breakouts. Not happy. I had been using the old formula since I was a young teenager and then I purchased this thinking they had just updated the packaging. My face feels itchy and dry, I’m covered in a rash, and I’m breaking out all over my entire face. My texture came back after years of working to get rid of it. The old formula was better because it didn’t contain soaps, this makes my skin feel terrible and ruined my confidence

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New Formula more drying I have been using Cetaphil for 20+ years, I wasn't aware they had changed the cleanser when I last purchased this cleanser, I don't mind that it foams when you apply it however have found it quite drying, next time I buy it I will pay more attention to the product label and find one that is for dry skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped restore my acne prone but dehydrated skin To preface, I have acne and eczema prone, sensitive, yet dehydrated skin. Years ago my skin wasn't as dehydrated, so for the longest time I could get away with moderately stronger cleansers and super lightweight lotions to prevent clogging. But over the past year or so, I've noticed my skin has become even more dehydrated, even during the humid summer months, and I was seeing a lot of flaking and fine lines. I decided to try this cleanser, because I have used Cetaphil products before and had good results, and I saw they have reformulated a bunch of products. I love that this cleanser is fragrance free and has niacinamide and panthenol which my skin loves. It has helped clear my recent bouts of acne and dehydration, and my skin has never felt smoother and bouncier! My skin texture/tone has improved greatly. it is easy to spread, budget friendly, no odours/fragrances, and leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft and bouncy. I use this AM and PM daily. Never discontinue this! and definitely recommend trying!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Daily Facial Cleanser what's changed? I bought anew 473 ml container last week...it's a gel rather than a cream and it's making my skin break out (rosacea)...did you change the recipe, or did I buy the wrong product?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Formula Change I was recommended by my dermatologist to use the oily skin cleanser by Cetaphil when I was 14 which was 8 years ago. I understand companies everywhere change their formulas and change the look of their brands but this new formula for Cetaphil does not work for acne prone skin and oily skin. The old formula would deeply cleanse my face and helped my acne, that I’ve struggled with most of my life go away/ no new break outs. As soon as I bought a new bottle a while ago I knew that the formula had changed. And then I started to break out all over my face and in places on my face I haven’t had prominent acne before. It does not penetrate deep enough into the skin to cleanse properly that is needed for people with acne or oily skin. It is too moisturizing for people with my skin type. I’m glad that Cetaphil is expanding and revising themselves. But I am very disappointed that I can no longer use my favorite face wash after 8 years because of a new formula that was not tested enough on oily/acne prone skin. This cleanser does not do anything for me and has actually made my acne way worse over the last bit. It feels like nothing on my face and after washing it feels like I didn’t even use a cleanser, I am permanently switching brands unfortunately.
