I bought the 6.5g colour and it's perfect! I have lots of white hair and I've been searching for a products to blend the white pieces into my natural/original colour. I don't want to deal with salon visits and root coverage every couple of weeks. This is exactly a match for my hair and I look more like myself again. I'm in my 30's, so I'm not ready for a head of white hair just yet. My natural colour is a light auburn with some golden hues. Thanks Clairol! Please don't stop making this product!

New formula is awful :(
They've changed something in the formula. I noticed my new box looked dofferent and says vegan along the bottom. I've used it a few times now and the colour 5A a medium cool brown is now more red looking. And it doesn't cover greys as long. It washes out way faster than before. Before it would stick around forever! Very disappointed. I was a loyal customer and always bought this for my roots. Now I'm doing elsewhere for my demi colour. Unless they switch back.

Poor product
I have been colouring my hair for years, and it appears that shrinkflation has hit the hair colour world. Not only was there not enough product to cover my hair, it also did not colour my hair! I'd rather pay a higher price for quality product. Sorry to say that I will not be using Clairol products again.

Fabulous!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This hair color treatment is so easy to use and it really does match my natural color. I received Med Gold Brown and it was a perfect match. It was easy to apply and it didn't smell poorly like some other similar products. It has coconut oil in it so the smell was pleasant and it made my hair very silky and smooth. It felt very nicely hydrated after treatment. I totally felt like I went to an expensive hair salon. I absolutely love the way my hair looks and feels and would 1000 percent purchase this product. It's definitely going to be my new at home color hair kit!

Show what my grey roots will look like
It seems all hair colour packages come with two examples of what the colour will look like on dark hair that seems to be all in one shade. Unfortunately most of use this product repeatedly to cover up our grey roots that grow in between colouring. No matter how long I leave the roots before doing the rest of my hair, the roots always come out a different colour. I just used the espresso shade and my roots are closer to red than espresso. May I suggest you include an example for repeat users whose roots come in grey.

Only a slight tint on dark hair, but smells really nice!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This colour definitely left a golden beige tint on my very dark brown hair, but you can only really see the difference in the light. It's too bad that these box dyes typically don't have an effect on dark hair without some sort of bleach/processor, but it's still fun to see if it makes a difference. It's a little messy to apply but it smells really nice. I know it's only semi permanent so it will fade gradually. I wish it would've lightened my hair just a little bit, but I'm glad this product doesn't cause any damage and it's a fun way to change up my look!

Disappointed
The colour turned out to be much darker than what the box indicates. I had used the 7A colour on already light blonde hair but as a result, my hair became very dark brown with strong hints of black. I am very disappointed because I had previously used other colours from this brand and it turned out well but this time was an utter disappointment.

Black shades do not fade. It’s permanent.
Warning should be on the box: black shades are all permanent and will not fade. Also black-brown shade is basically black.
