(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) As a faithful user of Head & Shoulders, I was super excited to try Dove Derma+ Scalp & Itch Relief Dandruff shampoo! The first thing I noticed was the scent -- not the usual dandruff shampoo scent -- it was nicely, lightly, scented. Lathered up nicely and did the job on cleaning. My hair was left clean and my scalp was left itch free! Even the 2nd day, which I usually start to have my usual itch, dry, flaky scalp...and I didn't! I have been super pleased with the results and have found my scalp to have hardly any itching or flaking now since using Dove! Iam convinced....the switch is on!!!

In the winter months I notice I get more dandruff than usually (maybe due to dry skin) and since it is dry my head is very itchy and causes more flaking! My go to was Head & Shoulders but I find that there isn't much long term effects. Since trying Dove Derma Care I notice that there was significant improvement that last more than 2 days after the wash. My family noticed as well! I think this is going to be my new go to anti dandruff shampoo and am so happy that I was able to try it out.

I found it had a very light scent to it. I don’t usually care for dove products however I enjoyed this one.
It works the same as my normal dandruff shampoo.
It worked to stop the itch and seemed to cool it down quite a bit. It also improved the flaking abit as well.
Down side I found it very hard to brush my hair after use.
I didn’t get a chance to try the conditioner as they were all gone. So I’m thinking if in combination with the co dictionary it may work better
Not sure if it will become a regular thing in our house.

The texture and colour of the shampoo reminded me of H&S;. I liked how it smelled, and it cleaned my hair really well. Aside from relieving the flaking and slight itchiness I had when I wait too long to wash my hair next, it also made my hair feel soft and smooth. So far so good Dove Derma+Care, I really like you!

In the winter, my hair tends to get dry and my scalp flakes, causing dandruff that's pretty noticeable in my black hair. My go to shampoo has always been Head and Shoulders, which has mostly been effective. Having tried this Dove Derma+care shampoo, I have noticed my hair has less dandruff than usual, which is great! It smells great and lathers up wonderfully, leaving my scalp and hair feeling soft and clean. This will now be my go to shampoo during the cold winter months! Recommend to anyone with a dry, itchy scalp.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This, alone with the conditioner, works wonders. I used it for 2 weeks to give it a fair chance and it was great! Though not all my dandruff went away, I'd have to say 95% of it did and that was with washing it every day. The texture was nice and the smell was not too powerful. I noticed that this, in combination with the conditioner actually made a difference in the frizziness of my hair. I can now leave my hair wet after brushing it and it doesn't frizz out like it used to, rather it gives me a nice, long curl without the frizz. I really like this stuff!

First off, always a nice sleek bottle, that fits nicely in my shower. The scent was subtle and smells like Dove and nothing like the others you get for itch relief.
It gives great suds in your hair and I left it on for about 5 minutes so my hair could reap the full benefits.
I found it works like the other brands. It didn't leave my hair feeling gross after the shampoo was rinsed out.
I would buy this again, but shampoo only. See my review on the conditioner.

I received this from Chick Advisor 2 days before the review was due, but that was obviously not enough time to test out a dry scalp shampoo for effectiveness. I've now used it 3 times, and the dry itchiness I was experiencing because of the winter has basically disappeared. The shampoo smells heavily of shea butter at first, but dissipates to something much softer, and still pleasant as the day goes on. My hair was soft and shiny and when I let it dry naturally, my curls did not frizz. I really liked this and would consider purchasing it again.
