Gently removes dead skin cells and debris that block pores. Especially good for mature skin, since removing these dead cells encourages skin to renew itself faster. Stimulates the circulation, letting you see the difference immediately because, unlike soap, it cleans without drying or tightening your skin. Leaves your skin soft and smooth, and prepares skin to accept other treatments more readily. Formulated in a creamy base of nine moisturizers. For most skin types. Daily use. pH 5.0

This is a thick, creamy scrub full of exfoliating particles (walnut shell powder). A little bit goes a long way. I use a topical prescription acne medication that speeds up cell turnover, and this is very effective for removing the dead cells without being harsh. The smell is a bit strange, but totally worth it for a product that is effective and not tested on animals.

Love this!!! I've used St. Ives apricot facial scrub for over 20 years and for some reason (I really don't know why) decided to try this one. It's my new one for sure!
I have very flaky skin and this leaves a smooth finish. Use it every day right before my cream cleanser.
As far as the difference between this and St. Ives, while they are both good at doing their job, the St. Ives seems to have slightly larger, rougher particles.
The Earth Science is simply not as harsh on my skin, while still doing a great job.
