The tiny (no zoom) photo isn't clear - I bought it thinking it was a round brush. It's a small, flat brush with a total length of just 8" and a 1" wide, tapering handle - makes it hard to hold. For my thick, straight hair, it barely gets through the surface. So, it's only good for thin hair or if you want a surface hair brush (who would?) that can't reach the scalp. Not worth it for this price.

I like how this brush doesn't damage and pull on my hair. It is also so much more aesthetically pleasing to use than a plastic hair brush. But the bristles are a little less firm than I would like. I have very fine hair, so it works, but if you had a lot of thick hair this brush wouldn't be too useful for you.

If you have really thick hair this is not the brush for you. It will be too soft to get through your hair. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. But because it is so dry I brush it every night to bring the natural oils down the shaft of the hair. Yes, I am one of those old fashioned people that still brush their hair every night. Because it works! And this brush is perfect because I never get static build up because of the boar bristles.
