Unless I'm doing something really wrong, these slides don't work at all for me. I have long curly hair that's on the thicker side, and i tried to pin in place two small parts of the front of my hair (not heavy at all) on either side of my head about 3 or 4 times, and every time the hair slide would just eventually work its way down and come loose, or was impossible to stay in place in the first place.
I'll keep trying with these because they were expensive for what you get, but I feel like hair slides shouldn't be this complicated?!

I Wish These Worked!
I'm someone who is extremely allergic to nickel and also reacts to even small amounts of copper. I have gone more years than I can count without having any sort of hair pins because of this, and have searched far and wide for a safe bobby pin replacement. I really, really prayed I had found it in these. Unfortunately, these are the most expensive pieces of ineffective plastic I have ever purchased. I thought they would be like silicone: flexible and with some friction but they're just hard plastic. They are too hard to trust not to break, too smooth to grip hair, too weak to hold hair, ESPECIALLY thick hair, everything about them is 100% plastic and they cost a fortune. Somehow from the picture I expected them to be much bigger but these are even smaller than regular bobby pins, and work so much worse than them for so much more money. They don't hold hair, yet somehow still give me a headache and feel uncomfortable in. Back to just using hair elastics it is for me, because I don't think these will even last a month with how brittle and small they are. Such hair heartbreak. :( The search continues.
