I enjoy this as a natural deodorant (as opposed to an antiperspirant, which I'm trying to move away from). I usually put it on in the mornings while I'm still wearing a towel, let it dry for a couple of minutes before I get dressed (it feels cool/wet for a minute or two when I first apply it), and then re-apply at suppertime. If I'm going to the gym then I will reapply it right before I go. It doesn't have the long-wearing power that other products do, but again I kind of expect that from natural products. I'm not disappointed. I wish it smelled a bit nicer.

in all honesty i have to agree with another user below... i LITERALLY smell worse with it on than with nothing at all...
i literally tossed out the entire bar and used the packaging to house a home-made deodorant i made using equal parts coconut oil, baking soda and corn starch!

definitely the best natural deodorant i've used thus far. you will likely need to re-apply on a particularly smelly/sweaty day (but that generally applies with any deodorant, i find, if you really want to watch your 'stink' factor). for super high impact activity (like the all-night at the club dancing, the marathon, or the football game) it probably won't cut it though i purchased it several times, and will continue to do so, but I still keep a little travel bar of antiperspirant in my bag just in case
